Learning Norm had cancer as a child is a new one. Thats so sad as he beat it, and it was always in the back of his mind growing up. Now think about him saying hes a hypochondriac. Then what we learned about how great he was with kids from Bob Saget. The diagnosis 9 years ago must have been the biggest gutshot. Damnt all.

One time Norm was interviewing Stephen Merchant, co-creator of The Office. Merchant was telling him about some horrific killer and said, "He was a serial killer and an all around bad guy." Norm replied with this little gem: "I knew he was a serial killer. I didn't know about the all around bad guy part." Legend! RIP, Norm.

Actually it was paedophile Jimmy Savile. Stephen Merchant said he was "a pedophile and a all round bad person" to which Norm replied "I knew he was a pedophile but I didn't know about the all round bad person part".

Jeff brings up so many valid points about the emotional support.. It's such an amazing display of humanity to have shouldered that burden of knowing his own mortality. It chokes me up every time I think about how he knew and kept his head held high.. Norm was an amazing comedian but what he did shows that he was also an amazing person. RIP, Norm. You are missed.
