I met Rich Eisen about ten years ago, I was an engineer working on the NFL network set. He was the nicest and most respectful celebrity I ever met. He was friendly, humble and took several minutes to speak with me, just a fan. He even answered emails afterwards, complete class and I wish him continued success.

@@BostonEmpath And I was going to say that there was no need to insult Ruck with that comparison. While I like most of Norton's work, no-one in Hollywood wants to work with him since he is arrogant, acts privileged, won't stick to a script and has been known to re-write whole portions of a movies script the night before filming since he thinks he knows what's better. In short, the guy is a phenomenal assh*le who can't, won't accept that as an actor he is an employee, not the boss. His role is to speak the written script and act convincingly. This I've heard first person from both directors (more than a few) and producers in KZbin interviews. I loved Norton in The Illusionist but he has to understand his role.

More like in your 40s you feel like you can still accomplish something significant professionally, that your best efforts may still be ahead of you... but, as anyone 50 or over will tell you, on your 50th birthday in the day's mail arrives a packet from AARP welcoming you to join. One of the most depressing pieces of mail one receives in one's lifetime. Enclosed are such dreary messages as "Hey! Good news! Life doesn't have to end at retirement!" So suddenly you realize that you're now viewed as part of the retirement class or on the verge.

There's a film theory that supposes Ferris is actually just an outward extension of the anxiety & angst-riddled Cameron. Ferris doesn't physically exist but is an imaginative personality of what Cameron wishes he was. All the things Ferris does in the movie is actually done by Cameron as he lets Ferris take over in iterations.

This doesn't make any sense. What about Ferris sister and Rooney and everyone trying to bust Ferris. It doesn't make any sense. The person who came up with that theory is seeing the movie through a 2023 lens and it's not playing a gimmick like Fight Club which came out in 1999. John Hughes was a pretty straight forward director and this came out back in 1986. No way.
