Sam Darnold now knows what it felt like to have been Jeb Bush when he was the front runner for president in 2016. Has any QB ever lost more money in just two games?
@RichardSanders-o4f9 күн бұрын
Quite right but Vikings will Franchise him , which means $40 Million per year [which is the QB dollar amount for next year] 2025
@jakebromley82559 күн бұрын
After this Rams game, *NO ONE* will pay Darnold over the salary cap next season. He’d be lucky to make $25 mil on a bridge QB deal. He’s cost himself tens of millions of dollars in just 8 days
@ji80449 күн бұрын
@@RichardSanders-o4f No way the Vikings will franchise him.
@Paldasan9 күн бұрын
@@ji8044 Franchising him could be a smart move if they want to keep hold of him as trade bait. There's at least 4 teams that want a QB next year and only 2 that are 'worth' top 10 picks. Darnold can be a bridge for another team but if the Vikes think they can get something for him they'll want some control over that.

It was all downhill for the Chargers right after FOX showed that horribly corny animation of Jim Harbaugh dancing.

LOL I thought the same thing. Shouldnt have been talking about the superbowl. At all.

If you want to say Herbert didn't create enough with his legs, fine. If you want to say he shouldn't have kept going back to guys like QJ when they clearly didn't have it that day, fine. But as soon as you just bring up the box score stats, the 4 INTs, and that's your reason Herbert played poorly, it's instantly recognizeable that you're not generating a single critical thought on your own. If you actually watched the game, you know there were like 7+ drops, 2 were INTs, and another INT was in garbage time, down 3 scores when you have to just chuck up hail marys to have the slightest chance. Clean up those issues that weren't from Herbert, and he's sitting at a respectable 66%, ~250 yards, 2 TD, and 1 INT. So just pointing at the box score, removed from all context proves you didn't watch the game.
@cameronburnett18978 күн бұрын
It’s so annoying that nobody ever uses context when talking about him but they don’t ever miss any detail with other QB’s that go through the same thing.
@user-gx8dl1dt2y8 күн бұрын
@cameronburnett1897 Yeah, I just saw an article about how "Bo Nix played through a back fracture" for like a game or two during the season... Okay, Herbert played like half the season with ankle injuries, he played through a fractured finger most of last season, and he played through a rib injury and torn labrum most of the season before that. Yet nobody in the national media talks about it when considering his performances or to just give him credit as a tough, gritty player.
@sludgedisciple8 күн бұрын
That all may be true. But the narrative is that Herbert cant win the big game, And its true until its not. CJ Stroud and Jayden Daniels even Trevor Lawrence has more playoff wins than Herbert. I think the onus has to be put on him. No more excuses.
@user-gx8dl1dt2y8 күн бұрын
@sludgedisciple You see how lazy of a narrative that is though, especially for analysts? Essentially all you're doing at that point is telling people exactly what happened without any insight. What is the value in an analyst that tells you a guy who hasn't won a playoff game hasn't won a playoff game?

Ya'll aint seen the Chiefs offense yet! Hollywood, Kelce, Worthy, DHop, #10, Hunt, Gray, Perine all rested. "Something Wicked this way Comes"...trickery with those weapons...and the defense all rested with CB Watson back (maybe not this game but...) If the Oline plays decently game(s) over..3peat!

Keep an eye on the Chargers going after Kyle Pitts the Falcons tight end. Seems like a player that Harbaugh would go and get of the offense to upgrade the weapon on the offense side of the ball for Herbert. I don't see Harbaugh blowing his wad on Higgins but a player like Pitts only because I remember him getting the most out of the 49er tight end that escapes my mind.
