The best was when Ditka became the coach of New Orleans and George Wendt moved to St. Louis and wore a Jersey that was 1/2 Bears and 1/2 Saints, sewn together with nacho cheese. Brilliant!

Smigel's best creations are Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and his skits on Tv Funhouse on SNL which included the insanely funny The Ambiguously Gay Duo and The X-Presidents . 🤣

I also liked the spin off TV Funhouse 30 min show for Comedy Central several years later. My favorite was "The immigrant, the baby and the guy on mushrooms" There was a cat in that bit named Artemis and everytime I see someone post a pic of their cat on social media that happens to be named Artemis I think of that bit.

Bears had playoff teams before and after. Late 60-70’s terrible. After Halas left coaching. I just watched the Barry Sanders documentary on Prime. Your futility has been much worse. Maybe this year Lions can start getting there. That said Bears are horrific right now. Maybe you’re right…😂😂😂

I don't know why he says aviator sunglasses were a '70s thing and weren't popular in the '80s. "Top Gun" made aviator sunglasses cool for the rest of the 1980s.

Moved to Chicagoland in 2018. Sad to say, but the "accent" is disappearing. You are much more likely to hear Spanish/Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Ukrainian/Russian/Middle East accented English. Which, among other pains-inconveniences, is why you can't use drive up windows anymore. Nine times out of ten, the order is screwed up.
