I had the honor and joy of hearing Richie sing this live. It was an experience I will never forget. It was so quiet in the venue - and his voice - and his spirit - truly filled the space. It was magical and mystical and mesmerizing. He was a gift to all of us who 'found' him and followed him. He is in my heart and soul forever.

I had seen this Man give Live Performances @ a small club in Yellow Springs , Ohio several times during the late 90's into the 2000's and he absolutely did not ever disappoint... seen with my own eyes grown Men & Women break down and cry like babies at the depth and breadth of what this Song means in a Deep Spiritual Sense...literally ( for me ) as close to a Religious Experience I've come to know! :)

Although I've never heard this version on the radio, the original has woken me from a dead sleep countless times throughout my life. Like suddenly wide awake, not groggy. This version is so beautiful, it resonates throughout my body.
