Can't remember the last time I tied either of my lows, I always just slip them on. I have two pairs of lows, and theyre both pure beaters. One pair black and white w gum-soles - my first ever pair but they got holes and shit now. The second pair is some army green gum-sole customs that I specifically designed as beaters, and they go hard with almost any outfit. I wear them to work, in the snow, in the rain and the weathering actually compliments the army colourway. They look like Gore-tex on a budget, plus my custom tag. Those are my beaters, but I do have the all-white high tops too, and they're ONLY for special occasions, dates and/or beautiful weather, usually worn with True Religions or Get Me Flys. The white high-tops I do my utmost to keep as clean crispy as possible, which means they stay in the closet on the rack until the time comes.

Honestly, the biggest mistake with wearing AF1's and the only mistake that's important IMO, is that you're buying them too big! Af1's have good leather and they are bulky, which means, they are going to stretch! I used to buy 10.5 but started buying a half size down and now they fit perfectly and they don't crease as much. A good alternative to wearing AF1s with skinny pants or joggers is to cop a pair of lower-profile Nike Cortez sneakers if you want to keep it old school, or get some Nike Roche running sneakers which are very low-profile while being understated yet fresh looking.
