I've seen it at least 40 times now (I know it's crazy), and I still get tears in my eyes. First times I cried all the time. I had almost never heard Sabaton a week ago, now I'm stuck. I booked a ticket for their Stockholm concert in March...

There is a fuckton of history in this song... Montgomery was the first general in ww1 to actually develop tanks tactics, Patton was the American ww2 general who lead the tanks divions following the path discovery by Montgomery... Flear courcellet is where tanks first entered battle in ww1, El alamein is the most important battle in Africa between the Germans (led by Rommel) and the British in ww2, the mark 1 is the first tank ever built, and the leopard is a German tanks developed after ww2, which was so powerful that is still the base for the most modern tanks built today, the "chieftain" and the "centurion" where 2 model of tanks in the allied army, the fields of prokorovka is where the biggest tank battle in history took place, during the German invasion of the soviet union... The shores of overlord is where D-day took place in Normandy... And when they say "Sherman rolling down to sword" I think they are talking of one of the shores of D-day where Sherman tanks performed an amphibious landing. Anyway sorry for the length of the comment but this song is a masterpiece and I wanted to point out all the historical references, and of course ALL HAIL SABATON 🤘🏻

There's a computer game called World of Tanks. This video is pretty much an ad for the game. The changes made to the tank at the end? That was the skin you could get to have your own Sabaton tank in the game, if you play it. I read that the tank crew is even the band. (I don't play the game, so am not sure it's still available.)
