I know it was written as a joke originally, but the way the lyrics are? It put me in mind of Dwarves working for humans, and when challenged that they wanted music, or to be permitted to sing as they worked the mines, the human overseers dictated limitations on the lyrics they would be permitted, in an attempt to mock the Dwarves. Instead of breaking their spirits, they turned it, eventually, into this. Something to rock out to and be proud of~ ..yes, I play D&D; 2nd gen nerd.
