What makes this legendary is that you know “Diggy diggy hole” was created by the elves as a means to belittle the dwarfs. But much like the colonialists with “Yankee Doodle Dandy”, the dwarfs took it and ran with it. This song has real big Yankee Doodle energy. You just know that in-setting it was made up by knife-ears mocking how silly the short bearded miners never doing anything else with their lives - their mistake, though, was thinking dwarves wouldn't put some real effort into bringing out what a banger it really is. The result of this basic credo of dwarfkind is that the fans are very, very unified.
