Had a look to see if Simpsons in the Strand was still going, and yes it is, and I'd imagine the prices on that menu would be at least triple by now, seeing as the place is very upmarket and sits just in front of the Savoy hotel buildings. Those prices were from 25 years ago and with all the inflation we have had since then, I'd imagine a main course now would be over £60. The owners of that house must have been pretty well to do if they ate at Simpson's lol. The Apple Mac SE computer (according to Wikipedia) dated from between 1987 and 1990, making it the third oldest Apple Mac model since the very first one so it could be pretty collectible if it still worked. Incredible to see something like that just sitting on a shelf there, one of the best finds you showed. The Ewbank carpet sweeper was very popular back in the day, and my grandma had one, but I dont think they were that good to be honest - ok for quick pickups, but not your weekly clean. Maybe if you could have found some old food tins in the kitchen and checked the sell by dates on them it could have given an indication how long the place had been abandoned - quite some time I'd say judging on the mould and that "garden" you found in the wash basin at 38:24 - had to have a lol at your reaction to it.

Interesting it’s still going. Yes prices would be very high there now I’d imagine. The apple Mac was definitely one of the best finds in that house! Very rare to see. Certainly been abandoned a long while like you say with the mold etc. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

Just think, that house has stood unlived in for a long time, and once everything would have been pristine before mould took over. How cool would it be to explore at the early stage of abandonment. I suppose it is hard to spot such places until they start to look unoccupied. Bex shows she has useful knowledge and she is a good addition to your explores.

At a guess a lot of these abandoned places are of people who have past away, and don't have relatives to empty their owned houses. If they where rented or if council owned them they would be cleared out, and empty. These places seemed to be forgotten about, and just left to rot till someone claims it.

Wat a shame some body's life belongings and wat alot of nice things just sitting there the house abandoned why don't people sort out a will even if they don't have family past it to friends or a good charity after they pass away I never understood why they must of owned the house or it would of been empty along time ago I hope people don't find it as wrong type of people will take things and trash it which is very wrong great explore enjoyed watching this

If houses have been empty for years the local council try to contact the next of kin or friends ,the council can apply to the courts to take it over if they can't find any next of kin or friends they will sell it or do it up then sell it
