Your completed blanket is beautiful! I’m a 71 year old beginner and when you got to the row that starts the narrow cable, I decided this is way beyond me. Maybe one of the other blocks won’t be so intimidating and I could just do more of those blocks. I’m hoping! 🤷🏼♀️👍

Clarifying the end of row 3 : finish the row with a SINGLE crochet. Then chain one and turn. (That’s what’s done in the video, but the verbal instruction says “finish off the row 3 with a DOUBLE crochet in the top of that final stitch.”
@RichTexturesCrochet10 ай бұрын
Yes, It is a single crochet stitch in that final st

I feel there is a discrepancy between the video and the written pattern. I'm following the written pattern, but doesn't follow the video.

@@RichTexturesCrochetyeah! I finally figured out the pattern. I was confused at the beginning, but I got it. 👏 ❤how it’s turning out…❤
@Reroluelisre4 күн бұрын
Confused. Apparently there are 54 rows but repeating rows 3 to 6 13 times is 52 rows but adding rows 1 and 2 makes the pattern 54 rows. The patter says this square is a total of 52 rows though so what row do we end on? Is the last row just tow 3 and 4 repeat, not 5 and 6? Running into pattern fails this early is not a good sign. Please help.

Is there no way to get clarification? I run out of stitches when the video is performing another cable. How many stitches do we have after round 3?
@RichTexturesCrochet11 ай бұрын
You will always have 45 stitches in a row. When you are working the post stitches, be sure to skip the single crochet in behind the post stitches when working, say, the next single crochet in the row.
@ang34329 ай бұрын
@@RichTexturesCrochet how many stitches do you end up with each side of your square for the border, please? Is it 48?
@lynneborle111 ай бұрын
When we repeat rows 3 to 6, are we really repeating row 5 and 6? It seems like row 3 set the cables.
@RichTexturesCrochet11 ай бұрын
no, you will repeat rows three onward - this time when working the row, the stitches 2 rows below will be the front post stitches. You will be working all of your post stitches around the previous post stitches from row 5 onward

I do have a question. When you are working your single crochets into your chain at the beginning, are you going into the bump on the backside of the chains?
@RichTexturesCrochet10 ай бұрын
I am - I simply like the look of the finished edge when worked this way. For this pattern, where you put your hook for this first row however doesn’t matter :)

I also love how it looks. I just recently started doing this. Love your tutorials. I just bought this pattern off your etsy, most likely the first of many to come. Thank you for sharing your expertise ❤
@beachgirl759810 ай бұрын
When you say "working around the post of the previous st" do you mean the post of that sc that we did?
@E-magineMySurprise10 ай бұрын
The post of the sc that lines up with the previous stitch, but 2 rows below. Not sure if that helps.

The pattern is nice, however, the tutorial would be better explained, in my opinion, if more emphasis is placed on "placement of stitches in back", as well. Perhaps, this would help those who are getting different stitch counts... And, I am on week 3, as of today, Feb 21, Rope Cable, but decided to view video again, for better understanding, and here I am... AND YES, I have viewed the "coffee videos"... ♡LndSu

So confusing as well how many stitches you are putting in the corners and if they count or not in the 46. You do somethimg different each round. The pattern is extremely poorly written and is of no help. Not sure if I should keep going with the blanket or quit after the first square because these poor directions might make the whole thing look awful at joining time.
