I love the creativity of crochet. Thank you for sharing all of these great textured stitches...Another nice variation I love is alternating front and back loops in the same row. It gives a really nice texture. I can see using it for many things🙂.

Yes it can. Use row markers to help you know where to switch to the other side. To make it like this one you would need to change direction each round, rather than working a spiral. I usually prefer spirals, but not with this stitch in the round.
