This man's mentality is how we will achieve success in the future. He might not be the perfect manager in our eyes right now, but I really believe he is what the club needs to change the mentality around the club. If the club stays with him for the next couple of seasons, we will reap the rewards in the coming years. He is laying the fundamental bricks for success, which is not focusing on the next results as much as looking at building a team and club that can perform better and better. In time the results will come, but as everything else in life it comes with a heavy price and you have to be willing to pay that. In order to jump high, you must first go down low.
@Narodov115 күн бұрын
You are acting as if it's set in stone that in the next couple of years we will see success. People like you are always moving the goal post when the current season is not going our way. Next season will be the same. Things will not go our way and you will come and say "trust the process and in x years time, we will see success". Change in mentality is not us fans chanting his name when 5-1 down or clapping after a 5-3 result against Liverpool. Imagine sacking proven coaches but when people are ready for a rebuild they go on to back the least experienced manager we had in 10 years. And no, Scotland Japan and Austrlia is nowhere near the level, no matter how long you have managed. Previous managers have been sacked for way less than this with way less money to spend.

@@Narodov1 You are acting as if you know how he is acting. The bottom line is without a manager like Ange, you would not even have a window into what is needed at Spurs to stop being pretenders and genuinely achieve sustained success. Spurs as an organization are being outed for how much needs to change. Levy would have sacked him by if he wasn't prepared to make a change and back a manager until you are 100% sure whether he, the organization or both are the problem.

when you say 'good times' are you talking about August 2023? I agree it was a nice honeymoon period of 10 games with a new manager. It's just a pity that in the following 16 months Big Ange has overseen the clubs poorest form in 30 years. 30pts taken from the last 84. 64pts from the last 147. But hey it's all down to longest injury crisis in the history of world football and every other possible excuse baring any accountability of the actual fella in the dugout.

Is the evidence managing in a 1 team league in Scotland or is it his spell in Japan where he failed to win more than half his games? Or maybe it's his experience of the Australian League with the Whittlesea Zebras? I wonder if this 60 year old who has never faced the intensity of a competitive league has the required skill to navigate these waters. All I keep hearing is excuses, one after the other.
