really love how Rick lasered in on Jellybean as he stumbled out of the bathroom, and his eyes narrowed while he put 2 & 2 together... poor Morty, he just wanted to steer an adventure, awww... they really did a great job of conveying the emotion for that scene/ actually teared up when Morty was searching for the portal gun desperately wanting to go home

Rana was right. That sexual assault scene wasn't meant to be seen as funny. Shit was disturbing. First time I saw it I loved it as a hard turn. Made it seem as serious and scary as it is. Which if you're gonna go there, I expect it to.

You misunderstood my comment. It was a surreal moment that was funny that turned serious and uncomfortable pretty damn quick. I'm sure there are people who laughed at it without thinking anything of it but the intent was for it to be what I said it was. Like you said, humor is subjective and as I said, I no doubt believe there are some people who laugh the whole way through.

I love the dark humor of the series and while I loved the twist of the bathroom scene, I also saw the reality of it. That happens, and some people wouldn't even realize it. So while I thought it was a good moment, especially for Morty finally standing up for himself entirely, I'm glad not all of the Normies were just laughing at it. (Edit) The name is a pun on "Seek and Destroy" cause while it does feature Meseeks, this is the episode Morty's innocence is really destroyed.

I think there are two sides to this. #1 you have two different scenes cutting back and forth from each other, so there laughing completely caught me off guard- which I could find a understanding when I saw them with confused expressions while watching it. #2 three of those people knew how to react to the bathroom scene.
