Just got into this show last week, and this episode, and Lawnmower Dog are my favorites so far. Both had the most laugh out loud moments for me. Loved Meeseeks. Restroom scene was uncomfortable AF though, but at least had a good payoff at the end.

This ep raises a lot of interesting questions. Firstly, is the meeseeks box something Rick acquired during his travels, or something he cobbled together in an attempt to use science to get as close as possible to the legend of the genie in a bottle, lamp, whatever. Secondly, the box appears to do what it does without a source of power (unless hitting the button generates enough to create a meeseeks). What does it do, exactly? Create one out of surrounding elements? Teleport one from somewhere else? Do they really die or do they go back to where they were plucked from? We do know that existence is pain to them. Yet somehow they keep a cheerful disposition while trying to fulfill their master's request. If this episode shows anything, it's that one person's "simple" request can end up being way more complicated than another's. If a meeseeks exists too long they can become homicidal. I would think there would be an emergency measure built in to just cancel them if things start to take a turn for the worst. But if not... Did the Smith family decide that the meeseeks are just too dangerous to play with? It would be very tempting to just call up a friendly slave to do everything for you while you relax in a hammock and enjoy a nice drink. But ultimately this would make you lazy and useless. On the other hand, if your request turns out to be too much for them, can quickly become an army of murderers that cannot die.

I think this episode has the best example of just how much Rick really does care about Morty, especially since this isn't his Morty. Technically no Morty is his but anyways. When Rick sees the jellybeen walk off he was already in a good mood but for the rest of the episode he is super nice to Morty. And when they go home that could have been the end of it but Rick wasn't satisfied. So he enacted his own form of justice. Rick is a grade A jack@$$ but he does care for his family. I think he may even care more about Morty than Beth at this point since this Morty is the same Morty since the show began but everyone else is different.
