Also, since the real family was the one that has Clone Beth with them now, in the wake of the season 4 finale... that would mean, assuming I’m understanding this right, that since Clone Beth wasn’t in episode 1 of season 5... the family that was in episode 1 were decoys. The family in the end had gone on a trip and Rick had substituted decoys while they were gone that all started making decoys... which themselves made decoys. This isn't them returning from last season because the end of the season takes place in the garage and they are all planetside. There are numerous hints that none of the decoys are real including the line about "Terrestrial adventures". I don't think there is meant to be any question that the family shown at the end is one we have been following for most of the series. My question is whether Mr. Always Wants To Be Hunted was put there by C-137 Rick to "close" any possible drone loop.

Asimov’s cascade probably refers to his robotic laws. He wrote a lot of sci-fi that revolved around the idea. The laws were made as a chain where one affected the other. With the goal of protecting the creator and others. The cascade part probably refers to the laws’ true intentions. That exploits and loopholes could be found. In this case, the robots could harm their creators because they see themselves as the creator and everyone else as decoys. . Hence the decoys desire to kill the other decoys. Alternatively for the decoys who knew they were decoys, they would seek to kill the original to maintain their sense of self. Either way, it would lead to a perpetual chain of decoy creation and destruction, centering around Rick’s laziness and generational degradation, I think. So, i think, Asimov’s cascade refers to Asimov’s flaw, and the pyramid scheme cycle of decoy creation and destruction.

I think what the rule 34 of Asimov's cascade was just a double reference: 1) Asimov's cascade might just be an in universe way of saying a cloning thingy gone recursive to infinity. And the rule 34 part was just a dig at the idea that 1000% after this episode there will be decoy on decoy "action" somewhere on the internet.

A decoy Rick said that his decoys were programmed to do terrestrial adventures. That implies that that Rick goes on off world adventures

After the drama with space Beth, Rick made decoys of the family and spread them around the world to act as a buffer for future threats. The problem is that rick was lazy and didn’t tweak his decoys’ memories before he left like he did with space Beth So the rick decoys, also remembering the space Beth debacle, created decoys in turn. In a perpetual loop, with each decoy generation getting suckier due to Rick’s increasing laziness. Rule 34 is that there is porn of everything , no exceptions.

I guess they felt at need to repeat this concept because not enough people got the point in the Beth clone episode. Though, it seems like people still aren't getting the shows point. *It literally does not matter who's a decoy and who's an original. If you're still asking that question, you're not engaging with the existentialism.*
