Just to be sure, when you say "working on a solution" you mean reupload the video or only make sure it doesn't happen again ?

Joseph Cambell is the guy who wrote the BOOK on storytelling
@dcworld43494 ай бұрын
And the fact that it's played by Dan Harmon who is obsessed with the stories of the show having following Campbell's model. Might be the second most meta joke of the entire show. Just after the story train episode having the literal writing room story circle in it. Some day I wish we could get a collaboration with Harmon, Trey Parker and Matt Stone. To see what happens if you take the story circle concept and follow the strict Parker Stone rule of never using "and then" in their stories. Always using "but" and/or "therefore." They've both distilled down a writing technique to achieve their goal. For south park it's because the show requires speed. For Rick and morty it's because Harmon is a control freak perfectionist. It could be a disaster or the best crossover talent in the industry.

This episode was very dense. I watched a video that broke it all down, and there are so many small details - even stuff in the background you have to pause to see. Oh, and Tag Man was just a meta joke about their after credits/"tag" scenes being so crazy. It went over my head at first LOL

Joseph John Campbell (March 26, 1904 - October 30, 1987) was an American writer. He was a professor of literature at Sarah Lawrence College who worked in comparative mythology and comparative religion. His work covers many aspects of the human experience. Campbell's best-known work is his book The Hero with a Thousand Faces (1949), in which he discusses his theory of the journey of the archetypal hero shared by world mythologies, termed the mono-myth. Since the publication of The Hero with a Thousand Faces, Campbell's theories have been applied by a wide variety of modern writers and artists. His philosophy has been summarized by his own often repeated phrase: "Follow your bliss." He gained recognition in Hollywood when George Lucas credited Campbell's work as influencing his Star Wars saga. Campbell's approach to folklore topics such as myth and his influence on popular culture has been the subject of criticism, including from folklorists.

_You failed me No I failed you_ I'm guessing that's an extra "meta" joke..? Like, the character tried to describe what happened but the writer isn't the "you" in a relationship with a fictional character, so the writer like rephrased it so that it wasn't from the perspective of somebody who doesn't exist....? Like if life was a book, somebody trying to record that event shouldn't write it from the perspective of the character in the book of the character in the book, so him saying "No, I failed you" is technically redundant but stands to cement the description in the "grounding" that comes from it not being phrased by an extra "level of fake" character

I had to stop halfway through this one, was having a tough day and thought, hey new RnM, have a few giggles and move on, nooooo, too much to process and I felt even more anxious. 🙄 Campbell's speech about mental health and creativity made me cry, so did the idea of Christ being a Christian childs worst nightmare, that one hit super hard. This episode is epic and hard to process but that's exactly the reason I love this show🦄🖕😎
