I definitely think Rick wanted that rift left open, and that it's closing has made it harder to achieve his goal of justice for hia family and revenge. Hence the drinking.
@TFoxhound2 жыл бұрын
That's what I was thinking. If it happen to our universe it happened to prime Rick's or maybe with our rift fixed makes it easier to fix for other Rick's rifts. And also like our Rick said he could fix the rift whenever he wanted to.

I love both Story Train episodes. Two of their best, imo. I understand why some don't though. The art of storytelling is kind of a niche topic. Most people just want to hear (or see) a good story, not get clobbered over the head with the semantics and how to's of it.

Is it just me or is Rick being a better person than the rest of the family? It was a d*ck move for Morty to show everyone the note. He must have known that it would get to his father, and he didn't care. He and the rest of the family were the jerks here. Also, I think the reason Rick is drinking more is he isn't really running from his past anymore, but he finds not running at least at horrible as trying to ignore his past horrors.

No, Rick is still the asshole for dumping that on Morty and demanding he keeps it to himself.

Rick was trying to do the right thing overall for most of the episode, but got it wrong when he confided in Morty because he just couldn't keep it to himself. I think he gets some points for trying, though, and for the other good things he did. Morty also thought he was doing the right thing by telling the others.

@@hannahpinson4361 He should have said it to his therapist. That's one of the most important jobs of a therapist, to be an outlet for this kind of stuff. Forcing a child to keep it to himself is ludicrous.

I really don’t like Morty *especially* in this episode. In this episode Rick was really trying to change yet he was constantly put down and pressured. At least Rick tried 🤷🏽♀️

For me this episode was kinda inspired by The boys. As in that council looked like The Seven, looking for popular heroes, even Jerry became close to Homelander.

This is one of the best episodes Rick & Morty. Absurdity, education, action, sadness. A compilation of everything. But I have to reiterate how much I hate Morty. He's such a shitty character. Rick couldn't keep this secret, so he told it in confidence to the one person he considered a friend. And this little punk flew off to tell everything to the rest who were in good spirits and on good terms and screwed up everything Rick had built for the entire episode.
@Bobsmith-xq2pr2 жыл бұрын
It's been happening to all the characters. Morty, Summer, Beth, and now even Jerry are more confident and entitled, qualities they're mirroring from how Rick used to be. Rick meanwhile has been doing the opposite, he's become far more caring and in touch with his emotions. As for Morty specifically, the kid has been murdering people and fighting for his life for what seems like at least a year ? in cannon time. Rick has been abusing him heavily for half that time. Rick asking Morty to lie might have been a trigger for previous bad memories for Morty, and also he is a kid.

@@anitaremenarova6662 only because we see that Rick is trying to change and what he did for pissmasters family. Rick sees Morty as a true friend not just his grandson and morty deciding to team up with his family to put him down the entire episode could be or is upsetting. What was with the innate negative reaction to the Dr. Wong scene? Your not one of those guys who partially projects unto Rick and hates any criticism he receives because you see it as a personal attack on yourself are you? I’m sorry you found the narrative of using “intelligence” as a substitute for ones own humanity contrived…
