@pdderek Жыл бұрын
Maybe because Rick is a germaphobe and is grossed out by outside stuff being in his house. That's not really a ritual so much as a phobia. Steve is just making him do scissors because "were gonna die" if Rick doesn't do scissors. Not really the same thing. Don't get me wrong. This episode sucked because NO ONE WAS INTO IT WHATSOEVER...but let's be real. Steve is a HOST OF THE SHOW and mentally quit after 13 minutes of viewer time. He then tried to end the show 14x...it was a poor showing by everyone except Jeremiah. But Steve is a HOST. It's 'his' show...you can't quit like that

Is that really a thing that people say, that Rick and Erik are in the anti-comedy realm? I mean that genuinely just because I've never heard it and both of them (more Rick than Erik) are very goofy comedians and people that are constantly making jokes. To be honest too, I haven't seen other episodes of this show but it seemed like it was a pretty unprepared episode and the stuff that was prepared wasn't really funny. Like a tickle challenge...? I love Steve and Jeremiah as people but that just isn't a great premise and Rick also is known for being extreme about dirt and cleanliness so breathing on each other... I don't think only blaming the guests for this is fair, all of them are hilarious people and for whatever reason it just didn't click.

If we're being honest, I subscribed to Riffin' With Griffin, because I like E.Griff and the comedy, BUT (...) the channel is a mixed blend of comedy (I'm down), gaming (I'm down), Game of Thrones for a while there and maybe still (I'm not down/uninformed/might watch it in the future potentially), and sports (worst of all, I'm not down).. And the same thing with Adam Ray's content blend.. No offense meant, and no blame or fault or "Please change!" intended, everyone needs to like exactly what they like, but I personally tune out big time when 99% of "sports" arrives. Adam Ray's podcast logo makes me recoil like a vamp from garlic, or like the Lee brothers from a life-saving dentist. If I had any advice beyond "Don't create for anyone but yourself.", I'd suggest making two channels maybe, one for comedy and comedy guests/chat, one for sports and sports guests/chat.. I also know skipping big chunks of KZbin videos damages the "analytics", I think.

This was absolutely one of the funniest, most zany pod’s I’ve ever watched, just recently started watching you guys and I love your content.

I'm 10 min into this podcast and it's one of the funniest pods I've ever seen. Plus it's an hour 15 pod that's gonna take me 3hrs because I keep rewinding so much 🤣😂🤣😂 Happy 100th 🍾🎉

Griffin was hella negative this episode... Killed the momentum on so many occasions - the magic is when the guests dive in head first

Was actually so excited to see this collaboration and couldnt have been more sad after this we need the 101 ep to be the special 100th episode
@lefthandedpress Жыл бұрын
Couldn't agree more. love Rick's comedy typically and was so excited to watch but the whole "high road" shtick just came off as disrespectful as fuck for the whole show. Why come on someone's pod if you're going to just refuse to do every single thing planned and just shit on it the entire time to the point where it just got real and wasn't a joke. Weird vibes. I felt Steve's pain the whole ep.

Man, I’m a fan of all of these guys but Rick and Erik really were not fair to the scissor bros. They deserve some more effort from their friends on their 100th.

I agree about the effort

TYSO is my favourite podcast, but starting to see why Rick got kicked off the basket ball team. This got uncomfortable, Steve was sweating, jeremiah was quiet, Erik was grumpy, Rick tried to do his shtick but when people don't laugh it feels like bullying. I need a cigarette

@@spiritualbluntssss5995 in this case, the differences in their conversational abilities. Also the knowing their guests’ tolerance levels regarding some of their segments. Like you can clearly tell which guests are into it and which are not. I wouldn’t expect Bill Burr to be on this podcast ya feel me. No disrespect to the Scissor Bros

I think Erics energy tried to sabotage this episode. He's clearly jealous that neither of the Lee brothers started a podcast with him lol

Rick Glassman is the podcast show equivalent of that Energy Vampire from “What we do in the shadows.” Steebie, Jeremiah, and Erik look genuinely exhausted and devoid of energy. They seem to come to terms of whatever material they got. The last ten seconds, they seem a bit more energetic, most likely because they know that the end of the show is near.
