"Happiness inclines us to be good, not necessarily that goodness inclines us to be happy." an interesting take on how the mind works

FACESConferences please could you provide the links Rick Hanson talks about to the recommended books and papers on self-directed neuroplasticity and the negativity bias?

Is it just me or does the brain follow the chakra system? First we react and fight to survive (1. Survival). then we want a reward, we get greater desires and seek pleasure or sex (2. Sexual chakra or Pleasure because they're not talking about sex in the common sense) after that we have the Ego which seek to stand out and be a individual and perceive of itself differently (in school they always said that's what separate us from the animals, how we can perceive of our own thinking). Naturally we are suppose to evolve the loving brain of the heart chakra next but we can't do that if we keep on hating each other and only fight for the ego or lower chakras (only follow sexual desires or fight for survival). in another billion or less years (I think we evolve quicker and quicker once it's started so maybe just a million) we evolve the Truth brain that see everything as it is and you don't have to think to much about it, you just see it and then it become incredibly easy to travel dimensions, speak through telepathy and see spirits & demons through our third eye brain and then then we transcend to the highest physical state of being as we evolve the Crown brain.

Because they are two completely different processes, being empathetically heard and understood by a kind and receptive counsellor and watching a youtube video.

He talks about learned helplessness he should have gleaned a little more from the likes of Dr Martin Seligman and although I don't agree with all of Seligman's views.e.g. evolution, he talks a lot more sense than this drivel.
