The great part of this episode was getting to see the real Beth. She is just as psychotic and narcissistic as her father. If she were as smart as him she would be a real threat to Rick.

This episode also shows how bad Jerry is. He's a racist, and bigot, and has no problem throwing people under the bus for him. Without Summer and Morty, trying to convince him he would have let the alien kill his own kids.

Poor Original Tommy. Little Beth failed to do him in, but big Beth finished the job, finally. Beth had no choice but to grow up a monster since her dad was able to spoil her more rotten than most dads in history. Imagine if you had a parent who could grant your every wish. One could get very used to that. It also says a lot about Rick. He can't say no to his daughter or his grandkids. Like he can't be bothered by consequences. "Here you are. Go nuts." He might have daddy issues, himself, as revealed in the hivemind episode. What happens to Froopyland now that its king is gone? Will it continue mutating into something very different from what it started out to be? It seems the biggest problem everyone has with Jerry is his lack of common sense. If Rick could bang together in seconds a helmet that could boost a dog's intelligence, why not do the same for Jerry?

Fun note about Rick's pizza grab at the end, the reason he says "that wasn't time travel" is because the writer's have previously said they intentionally avoid time travel plots because of the paradoxes and plot hole that will undoubtedly arise from it. So the writer's basically wanted to stop fans from losing their minds and jumping to the incorrect conclusion that Rick just went back in time to get pizza, lol.

Yeah if she went to space she definitely wouldn't have taken him back, it's a good thing she stayed and that's not a clone wait, did they ever clear that up? I guess you're just going to have to be left wondering if that's a clone like everybody else. Also Jerry's a predator an idiot and a terrible person so of course we want to keep him on the show.

@@Evieteresa that's not a spoiler at all, I remember when this happened as the show was premiering and that was the massive speculation everyone was having. Go back and look up the shows speculating from that week, I didn't give any answers, that was everybody's questions. What did Beth choose? We don't know. You're like a time traveler coming back and policing something you are only going to screw up the timeline by policing.

​@@handy864 Yeah, at the end of this episode we're wondering if Beth decided to have Rick create a clone of herself to take her place while she takes a break from her family. But there's no mention about her going to space, just leaving. Also, DO we know she stayed? We just know she made a decision, but it's not shown. We see she decided to eat (one last?) dinner with her family. If we see her in the next episode then we can question is that Beth or the clone. Such a fun show. Always making us question reality.

The question isnt whether he's a dork or already part of the family unit - but can you depend on him when the chips are down? Does he protect his kids? -BUZZ, Does he support his wife? BUZZ-BUZZ - Does he put the family ahead of his his own needs or desires? BUZZ-BUZZ-BUZZ. "Ooo, sorry, but thanks for playing". I dont think we're going to lose Jerry - he's too good a punching bag, but Kazzy, would Jerry ever say the the things you did about hoping we are all safe & happy... unless he was reading off a card someone handed him? And you just have to know that in the middle he'd ask... "Well, who are these people?" Or, "Am I getting paid for this, contract rates or scale?
