Let's lift a PBR to Record Mart, the National Guard Armory, Charlotte's Web, and - road trip - Beloit! I lived up the street from that garage. The Guilford kids sometimes hung around, but the neighbors didn't seem all that excited about rehearsals. Makes sense that your first guitar was Swedish. Half the phone book was Anderson, Carlson, Johnson, Swedberg, Olsen, etc, spelling Americanized at Ellis Island. Thanks for the music, gentlemen. And for giving the Wikipedia entry for Rockford something besides Barber Coleman, Sunstrand and Amerock. There is one other cool thing for Rockford history buffs 😂 - that red-heeled sock monkey came from Nelson Knitting in Rockford.

How great that he got to meet and play and record with John Lennon one of his idols. But then he gets murdered by a lunatic. I bet it hit him hard. It hit me like a ton of bricks. At least he got to meet him and work with him. RIP Lennon

1980’s ! These guys didn’t just put on concerts, they threw rockin’ ass parties.
