So technically while the Doctor was definitely trying to kill Rick here, it was the most merciful option he could have went for

They probably could have explained it better in the episode, but the only reason Rick didn’t shoot the doctor while he was regenerating is because he was waiting for it to actually start. Basically the part where the doctor blasts the energy from his head and hands at that point the doctor had already disabled his gun with the sonic screwdriver

They were mad nice to Rick. Doctor has way higher scaling (they’ve talked about it on death battle cast) Doctor who verse actually upscales marvel & DC including the boundless characters (no I’m not joking) it was always a stomp for the Doctor. But the episode was mad based when it came out They Cooked with S10, every episode was peak, lowest being an B+ imo
