I hope there are a lot of young fans out there of Rick Springfields and really listen to words of this song. Life doesn't wait for you, live, keep working for your dreams. For God's sake don't waste your time, if your in a relationship and you truly love the person, tell them. You will never have regrets like I do when you get older. I'm still in love with the same man for over 30 years, should have swallowed my pride, and gave a bigger fight, being stubborn and proud = being lonely in life and always wondering WHAT IF? Rock on Rick! It was great to see you in concert in the 80's when you first started.
@spedc7 жыл бұрын
Teri....I think you must have been reading my mind or living my life, not sure which. I've been dealing with regret like that for over 30 years also. It's something that NEVER goes away or gets easier to live with. Like the old saying, Time heals all wounds....yeah, not quite. I wouldn't wish this feeling on my worst enemy. It's horrible, yeah, WHAT IF? Guess that's why I like Dr Who so much. Always waiting and hoping for that time traveler to show up and take me back in time so I can fix my screw up.
@Teri112157 жыл бұрын
I understand what you are saying all too well. Time does not heal all wounds, but I do hope we learn from our mistakes. I hope you find happiness one day soon, we all deserve that much.

If you are from the 80s, and have seen this on MTV like I have, did anyone notice there is an important sound/voice/track missing from this restored video? Not sure why it wasn't carried over, but it makes a huge difference, as it gives the video a life that this is missing.

Yes, I also consider that young generations should listen to the words of this music, "Bop till you drop" right now. I understand these words that Rick tells us "Don't give up your dreams & lives while your body & mind have been working." Rick already knew in '80s that the future after 2016 or more later, we might struggle everywhere in the world. I have spent almost my life time until these days with his many fabulous tunes. Thanks a lot, Rick Springfield, my great hero, a Star !!!
