I'm 55 and actually saw Rick a few years ago. One of the best concerts ever! He can so rock with his newer music! I love that when he sang his old music he played videos from way back and even footage from General Hospital. We had awesome seats and I loved it. I don't usually buy T-shirts after but this was a no-brainer. This was one of the best experiences ever and I'm so glad he's going strong. I had such a crush on him when I was barely a teenager.

People who think "Jessie's Girl" is Rick's only song probably weren't around in the 80's. Rick had a lot of great songs. "State of the Heart" is my personal favorite, but this song, "Don't Talk to Strangers," "I've Done Everything for You," and "Affair of the Heart" are all great. And then there's "Bruce," which not only rocks, it's also really funny.

If I could just go back to this time in the 80's when my mom and I would listen to this music every morning while I got ready for school...I don't listen to any music from today it all sucks!
@mikekaraoke7 жыл бұрын
Not all of it sucks there is still every now and again good singles or albums......But the 80's just had a whole load of good to very good singles and albums

There was no internet (not really), and no Sirius XM and all that. All we had was radio and 3 channels on TV :p (well, I guess by this time we had like 30 channels)...and no talk radio. Everyone listend to radio, music HAD to be good.

Ummm - we actually had MTV. You know - back when they actually played video music? And you'd sit in front of it all day long because it was absolutely the coolest thing you ever saw? EVER!!

I agree with you today's music sucks. too much political involved n especially Rap music sucks. I love growing up in the 80 I wish I can go back

Same I totally agree I don't listen to any music from today. It's pure garbage!! I am truly an 80's girl trapped in the wrong decade.

I remember around 1983 when I used to get a magazine with current musicians and discovered what he looked like. Being from a very small Texas town we didn’t have a barbershop so I took the page with his picture on it to the local beauty shop and said that’s how I wanted to get my haircut. That was the beginning of my mullet stage and it still brings back great memories. Then around ‘85 I was lucky enough to see him live and Corey Hart opened up for him. Do y’all remember “I wear my sunglasses at night “? The 80’s was an awesome time to grow up in!

Happy 67th birthday Rick! It's a trip 80s musicians are getting to be senior citizens, but people his age were the first "young" generation. It's not like someone born in the 1920s from the Jazz age, they seemed every fucking bit 67 back in the day (more like 97 lol).

I actually saw this movie in the theater - 1983!! I was a freshman in college ,three hours from home. My GF and I saw RS in concert that year. She LOVED HIM - (what girl didn't, right?) First major concert I had ever attended. I was BLOWN AWAY! Incredibly enough, I STILL HAVE THE T-SHIRT!! ............. unbelievable.........
@johnarmenta21997 жыл бұрын
I started high school in 1979. I finished college in 1989. Yeah - the "six year" college plan. I was a slow learner. But I would have NEVER made it though school with out .... **MTV**!!! And it was right about the end of 1989 when the music videos started waning, taking back seat to the likes of "Road Rules" and the game show, "Remote Control". Remember that?? I remember like it was yesterday, and yet, it might as well be a million years ago. . . . . unreal. . . . . . .
