40 years 🎂 Rick Springfield got the girls screaming! 👧 👨👧 And he still does today, except many of them are 40+ have daughters 👧 👨👧, who are becoming fans in 2022! L🤣L Tim Pierce on the 2nd guitar. Anybody: was Brett Tuggle on keyboards 🎹 here? RIP Brett Tuggle, 2022.

Just gotta love the line,,,,"Love hurts when only ones in love!"
@anthonyyoutubefan75677 жыл бұрын
What's funny is, I always interpreted that line to mean, he's truly in love with her, but she's using him, and doesn't even feel much for him...according to Rick, the guy can't accept that fact that she's already dumped him, and is looking for a new life and a new love...hence, the line, "How's life in the Big City..." It's a tale of obsession, and I always thought the guy was the sympathetic one...watching the 1982 video these days, I see why he's not all that right in the head...at age 8, I didn't quite get the visuals like I do now. Still, so far, my favorite R.S. song...but, there are others right behind it.

Agreed. Tim is a fabulous guitarist & one of those guys that many ppl have heard but don't really know who he is. I didn't really know who he was either until I Googled him recently & read his lengthy credit list. It turns out, i've been hearing his work for decades & he's played for alot of my fav artists including: Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Elton John, Eric Clapton & Phil Collins.

My favorite Rick Springfield song of all time! It always bugged me though that Rick never once did this song justice in a live performance. Never understood leaving out the coolest part of the song, the bridge: "(Fais l'amour avec moi) What's he sayin', baby? (Viens dormir, mon amour) I asked you not to talk to him (Je t'aime donne moi ton cœur se soir) I'm begging you". That's how we know just how "produced" his records were. Not hatin though, still love his music.

Springfield was designed for stardom (look, style) almost too perfect...the acting thing gives him that special extra...very risky thing to do and he is one of the rare artists that could do both. he is music first but needed to work so took GH...u never know how a record will sell and he had three failed records at that point...then BOOM, it all changed!

Blah, blah, blah. He had some talents, but what we want to know is if Rick Springfield was among the first of (teenie) rock'n rollers to use lip sync as often as not?
@sharonf1064 жыл бұрын
@@pauldailey4477 He only lip synced on shows who used that format; says he hated it. Says, you can tell if an artist is really singing because they'll sweat! I still look for the sweat! Check this out? kzbin.info/www/bejne/gH6zc2mmqr6Iq7s

@@sharonf106 It's true that lip sync was a must do format for many years for show production until the rebellion of fans and critics. These days some artist insisted live singing and we get to see more real live performances. Others can't not sing it live sacrificing it for dance and show production and others are the raw truth are manufactured stars by the record labels who fit that will sell CD's. Long days are gone the ones that have true talent will come to the top with work and talent.
