Brian Bachelder your right, the future of what the elite are planning are told through television, music, movies. But most cannot see this happening. We are moving toward a one world order and people seem to love their servitude. I hope they all wake up to see that our minds are the hardest prison to escape. Those in power think we are to weak to make our own decisions. Why do you think the gap between the rich and poor is so wide in 2017? They want complete control of your lives and people are unwillingly giving them to those that control us without a fight.

RICK is asking questions to Sally ( Siri ) but the things get weird in the video "human touch' when he is dancing with the girl and there is a sinister robotic and demonic voice in the bakckground saying: I am controller, and i want to touch and seize you and make you mine" it may refer that the human race is human farm for the sinister beings who control the world .Rick might know something that we ignore.

My favorite Rick Springfield song. In the video, he asks Sally what year it is. She responds that it's 2016 (33 years after the song was released). The lyrics are even more meaningful in 2022. (Edited)

I wonder what Rick thinks of life in 2023,40 years after this song??? And, can we talk about how prophetic the lyrics are? And how now everyone has a computer in their hand more powerful than the first Mac? Or IBM original PC? That phone in your hand right now, as you watch videos in the bathroom by yourself is more powerful than anything dreamt of in 1983. Where most homes didn't even have 1 computer.

“Everybody’s talking to computers…” This song seems prophetic. Remember when it came out? People actually talked face-to-face to each other back then. Studies have shown that even though people are connected electronically in the digital age, people feel more alienated than ever. It seems we do need the human touch, maybe more than ever. Remember when men and women connected in person rather than fishing through endless profiles on online dating sites? Remember when people had real friends instead of Facebook friends? I sometimes long for those days. Does anyone else?

So I heard this on season 2 episode 14 of [the one and only original] Knight Rider series today, about the 30 minute marker. Didn't recognize it so used Shazam which tried and somehow failed. Then I figured it out on my own. All I can say is I love 80's music, but where has this song been all my life?! And the music vid? Totally rad! If only I had the music video on laserdisc, I'd add to my collection!

There is just something about this song that makes you have to crank it up and sing along out-loud with it! Specially towards the end without the music! I LOVE THE 80’s!!

Hey Rick have you met Google and Siri. Seriously these days we are all talking to computers. Wish I was living in the 80s, what a time to be alive!

Happy New Year! We're entering 2016! If Rick Springfield taught me anything, this year's wardrobe will be rad and we all need the human touch.

the 70's and 80's were awesome because singers had real talent and didn't need to cover there flaws up with smoke and lights and sound enhancements

Played a great arrangement of that for the UAB GOLDEN GIRLS my freshman year during the 1983-84 season of UAB Basketball as part of the Blazer Band!

Just saw him in concert Sunday. The man still has the moves and the looks at 72!! He can move better than me in my 40's lol.

Loved this song and Rick Springfield back in the 1980’s.Just watched him on Supernatural, playing a rock star! With this song it’s as if he saw the future! Lots of people are slaves and brainwashed by Social Media & it’s their only way of communicating nowadays so much that human touch is slowly dying. Sadly COVID-19 has taken that away,😢for the time being hopefully 🙏🏻

The lyrics seem more and more appropriate in these modern days.

I remember my mom bought LP of him, I think he was casted in 'General Hospital' if I remember correctly. He is also great guitar player and songs are really nice and fresh. :)

He also did a cartoon really early in his career called Mission Magic when he still had his Aussie accent.

This is the first time I've seen this video since the age of 17. (Over 38 years ago, OMG.) I always loved the video with no questions asked back in the day. Now I look at it today and I still love it, although I do see how supremely silly it all is. 😂

Can I must say that Rick is a great lyricist. He has not been given enough recognition through the years! The music is also genius! (I miss Ron💕🐕!)
