I’m a 30 something that grew up listening to this music. Oddly enough, I developed a deeper appreciation and love for 80’s music when I started working at 16 at a Kmart. We had several loops that would play during the day and this song always came on around close. I’d walk around doing go-backs and I’d find a quiet aisle or corner whenever this song came on and I’d just listen. I’d dream about finding someone who could feel this way about me. It took me away to a magical place that was the polar opposite from my reality. I was being abused by my parents at the time and music was the only escape I had. I was denied my childhood and teen years. I’d sit there and let the song get embedded in my mind and dream about floating across a dance floor with the man of my dreams. (They took my prom too.) I worked at Kmart for a number of years. When I started dating, I dreamed of the guy I was dating at the time. He was magic. He was fire. Maybe he dreamed about me. I married that guy and now...this song just hits different. It reminds me of a time when everything was carefree and all I worried about was when I’d see him again.

The clubs basement was painted black with day glow accents, florescent lighting and strobe lights, psychedelic posters everywhere and the 3 guys in The Legends belting out Led Zeppelin's "Good Times Bad Times" with Dan shredding the guitar. That was something to witness. I was 17 and never missed them when they came down from Harrisburg. 😎👍Dan was a super talent and played early heavy metal with the best of them. When he joined the Edgar Winter band I was crushed, "The Legends" were ... legends.

No more timing Each tear that falls from my eyes I'm not hiding The remedy to cure this old heart of mine I can dream about you If I can't hold you tonight I can dream about you You know how to hold me just right I can dream about you If I can't hold you tonight I can dream about you You know how to hold me just right Moving sidewalks I don't see under my feet Climbing up from Down here below where the streets sees me lonely for you I can dream about you If I can't hold you tonight I can dream about you You know how to hold me just right I can dream about you I'm gonna press my lips against you and hold you to me I can dream about you You know you got me spellbound what else can it be Moving sidewalks I don't see under my feet Climbing up from The pain in my heart 'cause it's you that I need I can dream! I can dream! Yes, I can dream! I don't understand it I can't keep my mind off loving you (not even for a minute) Ooh, now baby, I'm caught up in the magic I see in you There's one thing to do I can dream about you If I can't hold you tonight I can dream about you You know how to hold me just right I can dream about you If I can't hold you tonight I can dream about you I can dream I can dream I can dream about you I can dream about you I can dream about you

This is probably my favorite 80's song ever! I have always loved this song sung by Dan Hartman.
