I watched this almost 20 years ago and to date has been a favourite food episode of all time. Everytime I visit the fish market this show comes to mind.

This is another excellent production. The Ambasador was very much happy and proud for hosting his gusts with a cuisine so rich and diverse. For him it was another opportunity to promot Japanese rich culture. For our own brother Rick, well what can we say? As always you are the best and looking forward the upcoming video. Much love and greetings from your regular follower from Ethiopia. 🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹

We have amazing food in Great Britain. Unfortunately people don’t appreciate it as they do in cultures such as Japan. I particularly found it interesting how Japanese are so proud of being Japanese that they love any food that represents the Japanese flag. Just like Italians. They like foods that are tricalore, that represent the the red, white and green that of tge Italian flag. I also like the Japanese sense of humility and respect. When Rick Stein was dining with the previous Prime Minister of Japan, he was given the seat at the top of the table. A true sign of humility and respect. My mother is Southern African. And like the Japanese. You take and give things in both hands. Really loved watching this. Us if British and American heritage can learn a lot from this. We should also be proud of the red, white and blue if both the British and American flags.

They sell Asahi in 125cc cans, 175cc, 250cc, 350cc, 500cc, 750cc, 1 litre and 2 litre cans

Smart man! You right, cooking is all about choosing the best inputs, choosing a good combination of seasonings and choosing the best method of cooking and fire control which will not damage the delicacy of the food. Thats what differentiate peoples like me who loves cooking and a skilled professional chef.

Its very well Tuna being sold for 50 grand that to me makes no sense at all in anyway shape or for. Yes its a nice fish but really 5000 thousand is too much let alone 50 grand. Same as lobster really i actually think crab meat is better than lobster. I dont understand how people charge so much for this stuff when actually when you think about it as long as you know there is a clean beach you can gather all the seafood you want for nothing

Great program, but for me he made a typical mistake, lack of knowledge, and respect, Italia is not just pizza and meatballs, which is garbage often seen in films, mi offenda parecchio a sentire queste cose da gent ignorante, l’Italia es assai come la Francia, Giappone, as for the States and England, let’s not even open mouth, pointless

41 seconds in he says that's the difference between Japanese and Cornish,I am Cornish and I took great offence to that remark and he's not even Cornish he's from Oxford so don't bloody speak for us ok rick.... secondly when you go abroad no matter where you go you give Britain a terrible bashing..... If you're not happy here why don't you sod off to one of your wonderful countries probably France since that seems to be the only place you seem to make programs about..... I'm sure you can afford it with all the overpriced fish and chip shops you've stuffed into Cornwall......sorry but I find this man rude and abrasive .
