Immers tegenwoordig lijkt studie, lap-top zaligmakend
@gustavthemagician
@gustavthemagician 3 жыл бұрын

A beautiful educational film, and the class difference is very visible. The gentlemen/peat bosses and the (peat) workers and the sod huts. My ancestors also lived and worked like this, pure poverty. They were modern slaves. I can also get very annoyed when people talk about white privilege. These people don't know history. But we didn't get caught up in the victim role, hard work and wealth sharing helped us out.

Interesting to see all those guys dig & move earth by hand. These days it would be just 1 or 2 guys using excavators or bulldozers.

@@kulturfreund6631 Actualy the word "Duytschen" in "Ben ick van Duytschen Bloedt" comes from Dietschen or Duitschen bloed which meant 'Nederlands' or 'Dutch', this originated from the 16th and 17th century and comes from the word 'Diut'. It's not großdeutsch but Groot Nederlands (Belgium, Luxemburg and Holland ). In Flandria, the sixth stranza of the Wilhelmus Anthem is stil played and sung at many cantus, the iron pilgrimage and anual Flemish singingfestival.
