You can still hear the music and therefore enjoy it in a familiar way right? If you're deaf, say goodbye to that. Also no shade on deaf people. You can still enjoy music but just not the same way. Point is, joy is always present, you merely have to be open to it!

I like Myles' low to mid range singing. I really am not a fan of his higher stuff though, it sounds too boyish and thin and detracts from the emotionality of the music big time IMO. Just a personal preference of course. Of course he's an amazing guitarist and songwriter, there's no debating that.

@@alext2566 I'm not the biggest fan of the strident vocals either. I love his softer vocals, especially the lows and mids. I probably don't have representative or typical taste in music, though. When my time here on earth is through…I pray that the music in heaven is Myles Kennedy! He’s a once in a lifetime voice and musician !

Myles voice is the star here but the sound of that Gibson is just killer and sounds so good in open G, the balance is incredible. Thanks again Rick for the incredible content and Myles for the great performance.

Watching the top in the light, that's not a new guitar...or at any rate has the start of a crack from the bridge back center. I am in possession of my fathers 67 LG1 and it has the same thing, but with quite a bit more checking.

I just saw Myles do Watch Over You acoustic last night in Johnstown PA. WOW . To see and hear him live is next level. What an amazing talent. Thank you Rick for sharing this interview. Gives me even more respect for Myles. I hope Myles and Alter Bridge give us another 20 years.

One of the greatest voices in Rock music history, in my opinion. Robert Plant, Glenn Hughes, Coverdale, Chris Cornell, and Myles are my top guys ever. “Back To Cali” is one of the baddest rock songs of the last 30 years, also!

Best part of "Rockstar" was when the character Myles portrayed was pulled onto stage. ;-) Thanks for the interview Ric! Myles ROCKS!

That man makes me sob at times when he sings this song. He's a special vocalist in rock music. A tremendous talent in and of himself.

I just love the expression of pure joy and bliss on Rick's face as he's vibing out to Myles' playing. I mean, who wouldn't? If there's any person deserving of having Myles sitting next to them and playing, that's Rick for sure!

Myles, you are not only "very, very, very lucky". You are very, very, very talented, hardworking and obviously grateful and humble. Your success is well deserved.

Myles is so humble but in my opinion he is one of the greatest singers and guitarists. His voice is angelic

Just can’t explain how much I love him and AB. His entire band is so underrated. Dude makes me weep when he sings sometimes.

What a humble guy! I remember the first time I heard Starlight. I was like OMG who is this legend. I think Slash introduced many of us to Myles.

Not only is he astonishingly talented, he’s incredibly humble as well. Absolute legend

Funny - no one talks about Myles’ acoustic technique. He’s smooth as butter. I hate it when a great singer is held to a harder standard guitar-wise. He’s got it. Done. A brilliant artist - not just a great singer. Enough already. Give the guy the cred he earned.

Great interview Rick. I highly recommend watching Alterbridge live in the Royal Albert Hall from a few years ago...utterly amazing (can buy on DVD) and shows just how versatile a singer he is. Should be in your main channel imo. We need guys like Myles to be known much wider than they are.

I agree, should have been on the main channel. Especially when he performed 2 songs live. I think that's a first for Rick.

I saw Myles & Slash in 2017 opening up for Aerosmith best concert I’ve ever been to, Slash is the reason i played guitar and Myles is why I write. Thank you Rick, you are truly too good for this world for the interviews and knowledge you put out.I literally watch your videos daily, your theory book is amazing.

So, I've never heard the name Myles Kennedy before, and today I was listening to a Disturbed version of Sounds of Silence. Myles performed a duet with David Draiman, and he truly impressed me to the point that I had to go and look him up. Thank you Rick Beato for introducing him to the world.

How’s your journey going? It was me about 3 years ago or so. Discovered him and his voice from Slash. Now AlterBridge is by far my favorite band - of any decade…and I grew up with 60’s 70’s 80’s and 90’s rock and metal.
@Elpuma13742 жыл бұрын
@@RB-oc7ti, My journey is going well thus far, thank you for asking. Finding solace and entertainment on this channel has enriched my view of life and music in wonderful ways. I grew up about the same time frame you stated and I am expanding my music listening journey by learning other languages as well. Rock in English, however, was (is) my fav since a very young age. Classical music is also very important in my life. Greetings from Méjico.
