I always felt that Geralt *can* indeed cry, he's just unable to shed tears. I think it's the fault of the mutations - teary eyes make it harder to see and a Witcher needs their sight, after all. But when he's in emotional pain you can see it on his face. It's not that he "doesn't know how" to cry, he just physically cannot leak from his eyes. (FYI there are real world genetic disorders that prevent people from being able to shed tears. Neat side note.)

I absolutely love how much intensity the game picks up after finally finding Ciri on the Isle of Mists. The game really does hit the ground running at that moment in the story so much that it's so difficult to stop the main quest to side ones.
@Chestienut3 жыл бұрын
Been 5 years since I first played this game and the moment Geralt embraces Ciri in disbelief and pain is truly the most heart-wrenching moment I've had in gaming. The despair he showed, holding himself back. The way he cradles her like a child while swaying back and forth, almost like comforting her "I'm here now, be at peace". Even after when Geralt just stands there looking at Ciri with an unbroken smile, it just adds to how much Ciri means to the witcher. Gorgeous depiction of what they mean to each other honestly.

@antoniocarraturo61573 жыл бұрын
@@karlobasil8493 it's a correct point of view but in my opinion there are some games which have so many details that you can never discover in one or two run. If you just want to discover all the endings in the Witcher III, you will have to play four run and you can always try new builds with signs, or only with melee or potions. Ovviously there is also a strong personal subjectivity in this discourse but personally I don't even have the possibility to buy lots of games so I've developed the tendence to spend lots of hours and run on the games I have. With Bloodborne I spent over 500 hours!

I noticed not much time ago that the some of the most beloved games in the industry have a Father / Daughter relationship in its history, i wonder why? its not a problem for me because a enjoyed a lot that games its just i have that question. The last of us, The walking dead, The witcher 3 by example, I read Bioshock have it too. Could be the feeling of being proud seeing in who became the little girl, maybe its satifyng see her how good she manage in a cruel world ?. I dont think its because they are girls that need a man, in fact, in those games the girls aren't weak characters, they just were born in tough worlds.

I think I have read that some video game developers had children at the late 2000s or early 2010s and wanted to make a game that reflected that experience. The funny coincidence was that more than one developer had the same thought at kinda the same time.

I think father/daughter relationships are the purest and most protective sort of love, and one that everyone loves watching. I’m a young gamer, and I much prefer a paternal relationship than a romantic. I guess those relationships are stronger, and leaves so much scope for scenes
