Hi, I love Race For The Galaxy, it's my favourite game, and I'd never tried to play the AI mode before your video, so I just want to thank you for making it so easy to figure out and for showing me how good it is. My favourite game just got even better!

A bit of a rules question: When you describe the windfall world, you make it sound as though it continually produces goods. As far as I can discern from the rulebook, the only time it produces a good is when you first settle it and no other time (unless some other action allows you to).
@BoxofDelights11 жыл бұрын
Hi Jeston. Good question. The way I described it, I have not said that any worlds produce goods inherently. The way I am teaching it, you look at the V icon on each world in your tableau and carry out those abilities during the Produce phase. So, in this respect, the only difference is that windfall worlds start with a good, and other worlds don't. Hope this makes sense, Best wishes, Rick.

At 9:15 you place the robot symbol on the left most search icon for the robot. Why did you place the die on the left search symbol vs placing it on the other search symbol? Just curious. New to the game and currently learning the solo mode. Great tutorials! Thanks!

So thanks to you I got this solo version yesterday. A bit tough at first, but I now have an excuse to play this wonderful game more often. Keep'm coming!

It's also worth noting that windfall worlds don't normally produce, unless you've chosen to produce yourself, in which case you're get to produce on ONE windfall world as per the bonus from the action. Great game this and thanks for the video! :)

Yeah, thanks so much for posting - it helped to get the hang of RFTG immensely.

good point. I will try to do that more. I was focused more on the rules... but, please be aware, i'm not very good at winning!

11:28 Why did the robot choose left action? Why not the right? (I mean draw 4 card icon)
@BoxofDelights Жыл бұрын
because the robot places dice from left to right, and takes the action underneath the dice. So to play that rightmost action, it would have to have taken the Develop action twice.

Since there is a really good AI for the PC-implementation of the game, I've found the solitaire game in the box a bit useless. That said, I really love this game: it's so varied and has tons of different strategies. The way it uses the hand of cards for both resources and "blueprints" is nothing short from genious. I would probably have kept Interstellar Bank and Investment Credits, because they are both cheap and really useful starting cards for your growing tableau. =)

This game seems like a deeper scifi version of Dominion (and I mean this as a compliment!). I have a question: is the rulebook easy and clear to understand? Thanks!
@BoxofDelights10 жыл бұрын
yes...it is pretty straightforward. but there is no "deckbuilding" like in Dominion.

OK, thanks for clarifying! Keep up your good vidéos!! You made me discover Pathfinder the card game... and I'M hooked!!!

Normally I do as well, but more than that, I prefer a real AI vs a random die roll.

Oups. Saw that you already cleared that up.. ;)

erm... I've won only once on easy level...this game is tough!
