This is a master class. I’m learning from you pro armor guys that the base is just as important as the model
@RickLawlerPropaganda2 жыл бұрын
Hi, and thanks. Yes the base can be important and if you decide to make one, you should take it seriously. But more importantly....they are fun to make!!!!

Nice job as always Rick. I’m noticing our styles are similar but yet different I love watching other modelers and how they approach different situations. And looking forward to the next episode.

Love these videos Rick - short, sharp & concise👌That pre planning really worked, compacting the scene into that small area. Agree with you about the tedious work, cutting out all those bricks & scribing the cobbles… strangely therapeutic all that, just put a bit of Spotify on & you’re away 😄🎶 Really liking the reference pics too, great video 🙂👍

Hello Rick. Quick question. Where did you get the Fredrick the Great figure? Was looking something along those lines. Remember I need Shadow Brown😃
@RickLawlerPropaganda Жыл бұрын
Shadow Brown is "So Yesterday"...LOL! Hey Jim, good to hear from you. I got that figure off of ebay, just searching around on the Googles (images) and it turned up, and then I started to follow the trail. Sorry, I don't remember the name or address.

Awesome job Rick... may I ask what dimensions the tram tracks were that you used (I beam plastic strips) and how far apart you lay them opposite each other. Hope it's okay I ask. Love your skill
@RickLawlerPropaganda2 жыл бұрын
Hello Heinrich. Of course, it is ok to ask!!! As I mentioned in the video I just made a very rough approximation...basically using what I had on hand. The width of the ruler that I used as the straight edge is 1.5" or approx 3.1cm - the standard size of an US ruler - which is the distance between the rails. The plastic half-round strip I used I'm not quite sure...I used what I had. I believe it might be .60mm? In the final installation, I applied a thin strip of plastic .10x.60mm (I believe) to the bottom of the .6mm half-round, thus the illusion of an "I" beam, or track. These dimensions may be off a bit, but it would not be by much. As I said, I was just making an approximation of what "looked good" without any measurement or research. I hope that this helps.
