I had the same low upload. I tried it the other way round and the speed was 2400/2300. It seems it's a browser issue.

Hi thanks for the video and I just bought a similar dongle which is Realtek 2.5Gbe USB gaming controller dongle. I did not manage to get more than 300mbps download and upload. I am using it on windows 11 24H2 machine, I wonder if you could share if there is any device manager advanced setting I need to set and also any setting need to set of the router (which is a 1G lan ports). Thansk

Nice test and with real world results too! 👍 Exactly my generation & brand of client too! Just upgraded to a new 2.5Gbe NAS so looking for a suitable Switch and USB to 2.5Gbe N/W adapter. 🏃 Backup is important so fastest upload speed is essential! So losing nearly 1 Gb is an issue! 😥 Looks like I need a better 2.5Gbe USB adapter with maybe a different/later chipset? 💻🤔

I am getting 1700 Mbps download and 200 uploads for some reason. I got this for the upload, and I'm not getting the speeds. Do you happen to know why?

Are you using OpenSpeedTest or iPerf to do your testing or are you using a speed test on the internet like speedtest.net?

When using a service like speedtest.net, it can be hard to tell if the bottleneck is in your network or the public internet. I would try installing OpenSpeedTest on another computer on your network that is connected to your router with ethernet. I have a number of videos on settng it up: kzbin.info/aero/PLErU2HjQZ_ZNBUQCqkstfe7_zAdt7b1_k If your upload speed is higher than 200 when using OpenSpeedTest, then you know the slowdown is occurring with the internet. If you still have slow speeds with OpenSpeedTest, then you know it is your network device or something else on your network.

Versus wifi or gigabit Ethernet? There are lots of things I could compare this to. Pretty much every Mac and PC I have with gigabit Ethernet can reach 950+ up and down.
