Looks like a terrific place to camp. Not living in that part of the country makes me appreciate more of those that do who are willing to share videos of their surroundings. Stay Safe.

Hi, Rick! Just got back from a 3 day outing at Shady Grove campground in Forsyth County Georgia. Now that schools are opening, the park was maybe at 50% capacity. Quiet and peaceful and temperatures around 80. It was glorious. As usual, as soon as I got back home and got everything put away, I had to check and see what you and Akela were up to. I don't remember seeing your previous video on this park so I'll have to go back and check it out. I have a 29' 5th wheel and, being an x-trucker, can get it into some pretty crazy places. Got scratches all over it to prove it too. 😊 We're going to have to make another trip on the BRP soon, now that schools are opening. Betting that it won't be as crowded as the summer was but, as the saying goes, better a bad day camping then a good day at work. Looking forward to your next vid!

The water wasn’t put there just for Akela??? Sort of like if a tree falls in the forest……. What a beautiful, peaceful place! Thanks for another great video.

I was at Julian Price last September and a guy camped near me ran his contractor style generator all day until quiet time. Then he fired it up first thing in the morning. I finally had to say something to him. He said he needed it to power his TV! Why didn't he just stay home then?
@GoingNoWhereFast3 жыл бұрын
I wonder if he had one of those old style CRT Console TV's with the digital converter...LOL. People and their TV's Microwaves, and Coffee Makers... Good grief, try camping !!

I think you need to harness up Akela and have him pull you up the mountain as he has "way" too much energy...........and yeah, I'm jealous.......}8^-)
@GoingNoWhereFast3 жыл бұрын
He has been pulling me up some trails, but I don't him to learn to pull when we are just walking.... I don't need that kind of exercise. LOL.

Maybe the generator are old people 😅 I think national parks should be up graded with electric hook ups .let the feds spend some money in a good place . What do you think about more electric? I am old school almost no electricity
@GoingNoWhereFast3 жыл бұрын
It amazes me that most everything in a National park is first class. Trails, visitor centers, Kiosks, are all first class, but campground facilities are prehistoric. If they are going to have campgrounds, make them nice.

@@GoingNoWhereFast I agree. If for no other reason than to keep the generator people from driving everyone insane
