We had to find this campground after our prior one was so bad. This one really makes up for the poor bathroom on Big Biloxi. Check out the Links Below!

I'm 71 now and since retirement at 62, have learned to slow it down. For me, when you're doing upgrades or repairs, the longer the video the better. But, I always enjoy all your videos no matter what the length. That was a really nice campground. Keep 'em coming!

Good morning, Rick! Glad to see Akela still enjoys that blue Chuck-It for tossing the ball and saving your arm! I’m the type of camper who enjoys relaxing inside my little camper and would probably not go outside except to take my dog, Luna, for a walk. I cook everything inside and I hate campfires, unless someone else builds them. Getting old!

I can live without Campfires and smoke. Heading to Cades Cove Next week,. I'll have to suck up a lot of smoke from other peoples fires! And I've seen you sitting outside under your awning. And I've never known you to turn away a conversation with a fellow camper!! You just need to get out camping more!

Rick, you could blabber for as long as you want, cause you have a lot of really good life experience to share!! Love it!!

I appreciate that! In my lifelong experience though, People who think they know so much and blab uncontrollably actually know very little, and people who stay quiet tend to know a lot more.

Rick, I've found racing around only when travel days and overnighting. Then, stop and smell the roses at least 4 to 5 days. Going out west in a month and will try to get that plan in motion. 2 nights are for me just almost overnighters. Happy travels and Akela is one happy dog. 😊

I think I need to follow your plan. I spent too many days getting someplace, and not enough days enjoying the place I got.

When finding such a great place to camp, one just has to get out and explore...even when confronted by a sea monster!! lol Indeed though, there are some that arrive in a camp that I never see leave their unit. Length seems to vary to what the content dictates...so you just keep doing what makes you most comfortable! We all just appreciate you sharing your adventures!

Great video as usual. I enjoy your video's so much, my preference would be a longer video. And I've been seeing you play with that Chuckit toy for a while now so I decided to get one. I got it today and Gizmo loves it.

Whatever length you want ;) IMHO, to really enjoy a camp spot, you need 1 day to get the travel funk melted away, another day quick look and plan then more days are just where you can really relax and enjoy. I know, if there are trails and sticks, Akila can spend a month there ;)

Definitely need a day to get travel funk dealt with. Though I’m usually good after a half day. Definitely trying to plan more days at one place to explore and enjoy! Thanks

Nice video. Seems like you're following what originally was our snowbirk plan for us "Geezers on the Go" this year, but my husband's back surgery curtailed us from going that far West from NY. Had looked at Turkey Fork as a possible destination. We'll keep it on our list. As for time, we found 4-5 days is a good number to visit and see everything to do with a little down time added. We like a week if it has FH. We limit our videos to around 20-25 minutes to include things to do in the area.

Thanks Jill! I find it very hard to enjoy "Downtime". I am a hyper guy in that I need my eyes to see different stuff all the time. I don't watch TV, so it has to be the natural world. I may have to take up Bird watching or mushroom collecting again. I'm heading out to St. Louie for a couple weeks and I may try to stay in one place for a few days. But it seems I just don't get the hang of it yet. Hope your hubby does OK on his surgery. That's a tuff way to delay camping. Thanks again!!

Hubby doing well, thanks. We're now in Georgia at Laura Walker SP. People love it but not sure why. Sites close together, not many trails. FYI, if you happen to travel into Louisianna, check out Tom Merrill Rec Area near Haughton. COE CG along a spillway, w/e, and just $7.50 with National Park Pass. In a big WMA , so lots of trails.@@GoingNoWhereFast

Good morning Rick. Nice campground. My wife and I watch your videos while eating breakfast/coffee so the 15-20 minute videos are nice. We do occasionally enjoy a longer video if you spend time focusing on a particular event or attraction. What is the longest time away from home you have traveled? We tend to max out after 2 weeks and we normally stay at least 3 days at each site. Enjoy taking in present.

Hey Rick , You do a great job and I appreciate you very much. I think 15 to 30 is perfect for length. I started watching your channel in 2019 I had an accident at work now I'm doing much better building a house over in East Tennessee I live in Western North Carolina on the Tennessee line. And we can't wait to go camping right now everything's so busy but your question was or your statement rather about. Zooming from campground to campground to do the reviews which is good but it is good to take time and enjoy where you're at because one day you can't..Keep up the great work. How is your Pup. Is his foot ok?
@GoingNoWhereFast

Akela's foot and all other parts seems to be in good working order. And Yes, we will gradually slow down and enjoy the journey a little more. It's a bad habit from having to get back to work.

15-30ish is good with me. Also, I like to see how people live out their stay at a campground - rather than hop from campsite to campsite to show each campground’s facilities and views. If I wanted to go to your campground, I’d need to LIVE there. Feed myself, walk around, explore - and read, do some puzzles, play a bit…. Thanks.
