hah there are so many new travel bloggers out there but they haven't learnt a single thing from the likes of Rick. its not just about the flashy stuff and how amazing your camera gear is or how amazing you make a picture look on Instagram. its about the eloquent way rick captures his audience with his amazing use of vocabulary in describing small little stories that are often miss , by the new generation of wanna be travel bloggers. for example , in this video , rick took a very simple concept of a taxi ride and turned it into an adventure leaving no small details out. and it is this little things that make a trip memorable that are often overlooked its not always about the pizza you had or the beach you went to. its always about the little things. and rick does an amazing job telling us bout it. and the most important thing is , rick always looks the same , never looking too flashy and always neat, he gives you the notion that if he can do it you can too.

Just returned, I would go back in a second! We had 2 weeks there and I sure wish we had 2 more. Ill return one day for certain. Amalfi coast was my favourite part of Italy. The lemons are the size of grapefruits. We had fresh squeezed lemonade, enjoyed limoncello gelato while looking out at the coastline and I wanted to freeze time that very second and stay there forever.

Nancy White True ... but I ❤️ Capri as well ... Southern Italy is great 👍. We visited Rome, headed to Amalfi Coast , checked out Capri/Blue Grotto and lastly visited Sorrento and visited the lost city Pompeii. Stayed for 10 days -would not mind going again maybe just relaxing on the Amalfi Coast . Northern Italy is also nice -Tuscany and Florence but for them the south has a certain charm ...

Two weeks is too long for anywhere even combined vacations I can’t drink like that nonstop for 2 to 4 weeks you start to feel like a loser I’d rather take 4 one week vacations spread out across the year. And yes, sorry, when you’re on vacation you drink a lot. And very hard to find a good Gym in Italy. I actually could not find one.

That and widespread crop failures, diseases that wiped out the vineyards destroying the wine industry. Vineyards in the US that had only decades earlier developed from Euro grapes, ended up returning plants back to Italy to save the fields. (And yeah, you're right. There was the crazy dude Benito.) Seems that everyone I met over the years from one end of the boot to the other, has a long-lost cousin in the US. btw.. sending this from Little Italy, Manhattan.

Cant believe he never went on little white Noddy train in Sorrento, it was the best part of the whole trip. The whole train was singing along to the Italian opera music. Also if you go visit the foreigners club the pironi is 5 euros a bottle, but the view from the balcony is priceless. I have been to half a dozen European countries but southern Italy is the most beautiful by far. And NOBODY does food like the Italians. If you get the chance to go go you will never forget the place.

Been to Sorrento twice last year - before the lockdown - I have a friend living there and she took me to eat at the simple but outstanding family restaurant in Marina Grande, called O'Puledrone, run by fishermen that serve what they catch fresh every day. You can get filled with fish and seafood without drying your bank account there....and that is the real taste.

Sorrento is one of my favourite places in Italy. It felt really safe to wander about in the evening. It was very easy to get around and the sights were breathtaking around the clifftops and by the harbour. Food was fabulous and everyone seemed to be really happy. My favourite part was going on the little train that goes around town and down to the harbour. It was brightly lit with coloured lights and music played through speakers. It was just delightful. Would go again in the blink of an eye.
