Sure missed you. Glad you're back. I don't know if you remember, but I was on the carnivore journey with you. I actually lost 40 lbs and for the last couple months have plateaued. Bouncing up and down 5 lbs. I started eating veggies, cream cheese slathered on my meats and the occasional fruit. I really felt like I was cheating. 😂 But the weight hasn't moved much and I'm much happier. Don't know where I'm going from here but oh well. I would love see that lemon cream cheese pie recipe.

Rick you are looking good even after side symptoms of the Manopause, sometimes I think you feel like you have to entertain us with new and innovative content, not the case , if you look at the KZbinrs that do well they are just honest natural and not forced. We are all there for the journey with you on your passions, hobbies and interests.

Good to see you Rick. I think a big part of us feeling like this is down to our long winters, they can really pull our mojo right down for months. Pop out in Guinevere on a nice sunny day and spend the day just chillaxing in a quiet spot out in the countryside and leave the cameras at home! Being outside in the fresh air listening to the sounds of nature and in the sunshine is a good healer for the soul🙂 🌞🌻

Great to see you back Rick, i too had a 'burn out' feeling and can empathise with how you felt, you just cant be bothered with anything... I found rekindling the hobby of the RC cars really sparked me again, its funny really, i sit under the stairs in my little hobby area and build these cars, its amazing just how you lose track of time and really get into it. But like yourself i decided to try a different angle on my KZbin channel, and its so hard to get that interaction. I'm no where near your amount of subscribers, but to have 10/20 people watch your videos is quite the buzz.. but again i enjoy the process of making them.

great to see you back. i do believe you have been suggested this many times. and i also believe strongly that the one single most important thing you should do is:.... getting rid of that scale and the daily weighing.... and solemnly listening to you body. it will tell you exactly what it needs. it will solve the food and diet thing forever for you without any effort. promise

Great to see you back Rick, you were missed. Good news for you from the news tonight the northern lights are returning in two weeks time . I missed them too and stayed inside ! They are going to warn us apparently. I think you had “Burn Out” Rick. You put tremendous energy and enthusiasm into those daily Carnivore diet vids , you had the gall trouble to contend with and then went straight on to redecorating the spare room into studio for your recording/ work . You have yet another project with the new wall so I hope you show us that soon as it takes shape. Look after yourself this time and take it slowly. xxx

Hi Rick! It is great to see you again! What I like the most about your videos is your long waffling talks where as you say you talk a lot but say very little. It’s just comforting to me to hear your voice and listen to your ideas and thoughts. Take time to nourish your soul and hopefully we will see you again soon!

Good to see you on your channel again. Keep doing you and we shall always be here. Day 189 check in - a tiny bit away from 4 stone lost. I had to find the cash to buy some new trousers and had to buy a pair 8 inches smaller round the waist than the previous pair. KZbin - Zen can be found if you use the tools to check and then focussing in increasing your SEO score. Also I got nothing for a recent 8 minute video. A 14 minute videa got a lot more views. That is the length I am going for from now on. Northen Lights - Yep you missed out there mate... I was great. Fingers crossed we see more on the next rotation.

I started Carnivore after you. Like you, I realized that I am a sugar addict. A food addict. I need to live life; and being an addict stops me from doing that. I need to live a life that doesn't center around food. I have done 135 days of Carnivore. I don't care how boring it is, because I get excitement from life now! From how good I feel. From exercise and a healthy mind. I feel so good about myself, like I can conquer the world!

Good to see you back and hope everything goes well. On the subject of feature walls (I hope we see the process), you seem to have a few textures going on, ceiling and white wall. Obviously, if you like them, then all is fine, but on camera, it looks a bit busy; or it could just be me 😃😃

Good to see you back Rick and glad you’re doing OK. Very interesting to hear about your KZbin experiment especially with doing all the right things it doesn’t always result in watch hours or views I get the feeling everyone is watching TikTok now. I enjoy making and editing videos for YT but have done a few little ones for TikTok and they get so much more attention. ?? Would love to see the video for the cheesecake !! Best wishes Tim 😊👍

I also discovered that I needed more variety, and decided to go low carb, but not keto, with IF(OMAD, 48 hr fast each week, 72 hr fast once per month, this last concluding with a 15 carb celebration meal). I keep the carbs under 15% and basically do meat, eggs, and non-starchy vegetables, and yes, a small dessert is allowed. I still go off pace once in a while, but I've learned not to berate myself too much so long as it's only a day or so once in a while. It has kept the weight and the blood work where they need to be. We all need to find some version of the low carb lifestyle that works for each of us. Regarding the sweetener, if you can get it in the UK without it costing a mint, try the Lakanto monkfruit and Allulose sweetener. Allulose is really good because it blocks the absorbtion of fructose and both it and monk fruit are easy on the gut.

Instead of Stevia, try Monkfruit. I find it much more palatable, virtually no aftertaste. I was one of the few people who missed seeing the Aurora Australis, but I am fairly certain that I did see it in 1964 when we were living on the Migrant Hostel in Victoria Australia.

According to the BBC news there are likely to be more auroras soon. I was hanging out of the bedroom window here in Cornwall, but all I could see was a green glow. I think people's cameras may have been picking up more than you could see with the naked eye. A friend in Yorkshire said ti was spectacular up there. Keep watching the space weather.

Wonderful to see you back, Rick! Sometimes it is very necessary to just step back and take a long rest from doing anything or seeing anyone. I tend to do that myself too! I go into full monastery mode...I immerge feeling rested, rejuvenated and peaceful...By the way, you look fantastic, and I can't believe you have gained back any weight at all! In fact, the first thing I thought was 'Rick looks tanned, rested and has lost weight'...You look happier too so the rest has done you good! You look like you've been abroad! .....anyway, I completely see your point that the carnivore diet would be unsustainable. I can't imagine how folks can stay on it for years and years. It would be so boring, so same-y day after day, that I would never stay on it. Besides that, I would miss certain veggies which I am glad to see are on the Keto lifestyle....And, I agree that Keto is far more sustainable...I think your 'feature wall' will look posh! Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Take your time, no pressure, just enjoy yourself....xx p.s. I slept through the Aurora Borealis too...lol

Hi Gigi, The Aeropress was not a bad little coffe maker, from what I remember. In the end I gave up on it because it was a lot of processes to arrive at a cup of coffee, plus you needed a lot of counter space, and fair bit of water to clean up after, which wasn't ideal when camping. but the coffee was fine :)

Yay! It's Rick. We have all missed you. We love it when you just pick up the camera and have a chat. I always think it's good to have two activities each month. For me, that is one crafting project and one research project. So your decorating and gold leaf ticks the craft box. As for research, I like to incorporate this into a future trip. I just watched the old tv series 'Children of the Stones', set in Avebury- which isn't far from you. Now I am looking at Avebury Henge and stone circles, to which we will visit next month. My wife is crafting away using a new medium and is fascinated by the stories of the crew and passengers of the Titanic. So that will be another trip to Southampton - and possibly Birmingham later in the year. That way, we can spend time away from others to recharge; keep our grey cells ticking over, and also look forward to going out on a mini trip. Before running back home to recharge and repeat again. You love your research and always come alive with a huge amount of enthusiasm for a new or exciting project (which is me to a tee) but there is the other side of that coin which sees those expensive hobbies becoming tiresome very quickly. I have learnt that life is a series of patches that we sow together to make an awe-inspiring throw/blanket. If each patch is just the same colour, it would be rather boring.... actually, that could be an interesting craft project 🤔 Maybe England could finally get its own modern Bayeux Tapestry! 😆

What's happening with the none alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)? At the time of the flair up you wasn't sure if that or the gallbladder was the cause of pain. But you do appear to be going round in circles with your dieting. Whilst being on/off carnivore for the past two years, before that you were doing KETO on/off for a few years. You said you couldn't stick with it because you kept getting stomach / bowel issues. BTW.. now that summer has arrived how about a drive out?
