I don’t understand how everyone’s calling it a black ktm just because the motor is similar. That’s one component of the bike. They took something from everyone. I think it’s cool new bikes are coming out.

It is true that the Jap bikes became the best by hiring riders from the USA and Europe to help design. But none of the riders had the engineering experience to actually make them. It was actually Maico over 40 years ago, that set the standard for modern frame geometry. Dave is a sharp guy, but not sharp enough to tell a government subsidized company to go to hell.

So many haters in the comments. If you don't like Triumph getting into the game, too bad. No reason to criticize them for expanding their product line and attempting to enter the dirt bike market. Most of you haters sound like 13 year old brats living in the basement.
@EarthSurferUSA10 ай бұрын
It's on the tax payers dime son. If that is free enterprise, then you should get a bike for free if you pay taxes,---since you already payed for it.
you can absolutely criticize them. This whole release has been a dumpster fire. Dragging out all the hype with no real schedule only to tease photos that looked about as quality as the big foot sighting photos, for it to end up being an aluminum framed KTM clone. Then they add the "icing on the cake" by having RC and 6-time put around like they don't even want to be there.
@leadhead733810 ай бұрын
I know I’m so sick of hearing people say it’s a KTM rip off. They must not realize Triumph has been making motors much longer than KTM! And these bikes are Triumph designed from the ground up.

The most exciting new thing in Motocross since the Cannondale. In Another Video about the new 250 cc Motocross bike, Jeff Stanton is the second rider. He is a former multi Time National Champion mostly rode for Honda from Sherwood MI. His Grandfather and My Grandmother went to High School. I stopped at Jeff's House once on a Pedal bike. I told Jeff how I built my own 4 stroke dirt bike. I took a 1977 Honda CR-125 Frame and put a 1971 Honda SL-125 motor in it. It was bored and stroked to 160 CC's by Powroll, Ported head, Hot cam and a 24 MM Mikuni off from a GYT Kit for a 1975 Yamaha YZ-80-B .. It's just a fun trail bike to ride. I built it about 1 year before Honda Came out with the Honda XR-200 which had a shorter stroke bigger bore and 4 valve head. Stanton Told me "There will never be 4 Stroke Motocross Bikes" To be honest Stanton is not the most Charming Person. I have spread lime for his Father before and I could see Similar traits in his Father so his personality did not come just from Ego from Being a National Champion Motocross. Seems Stanton did pretty well in the Open class back in the day of 500 CC Two strokes.. I have seen posts "advertisments" On Stanton's Face Book Page.. He Guides Adventure bike Tours. He offers coaching on riding Adventure bikes.. Seems his friend or Partner does Motocross coaching and training. Think his Sir Name is Parlin a Prominet name in the rural area of Athens MI .. Such as the Spoore and Parlin John Deere Dealership which sold out to Mega Dealer Green Mark .. Parlin's welding shop ect.

Yes they do. It just looks like less for us slow guys. I had pretty good speed in my day in some conditions, and too 18 years off a bike. I felt like a beginner again when I started riding again, and part of it was the new bike set up with high, freestyle set up handlebars. But the rest is me. It does come back faster, the next time around though, but i doubt I will ever have the speed I had. OK with me. I am sure I don't bounce off the ground as well either. The MX tracks are actually a lot easier today also. I won't jump the big jumps in the middle of the smooth straights. But I can get my corner speed back and keep up to the face.

Suspension looks so soft. Wonder if they have tuned or it’s bone stock settings

Looks like everything is bone stock

Prob stock, and these bikes usually aren’t made to handle tracks like this anyways

Make it a 2 stroke and he would tear that track to pieces. I think Ricky should race 1 season. He’s still young and I’m sure fast enough to be competitive.

The thing sounds mean, people will say what they want about the motor being a ktm moto, sure it’s definitely inspired by it, but that’s a good thing. The ktm motor is incredibly strong. But it sure as hell don’t sound like a KTM
