ugoagogo live It is perfect for the 80's, but I'm thinking the reason why it didn't become a hit is because all the big names and music legends were on top of their game in the 80's so there was no room for new faces like Seona Dancing. I think if the band came later in mid 90's they would've had a better chance to be successful. With Ricky's talent and the looks he had, there's no way he'd fail in the 90's!

1984?... around that time the industry was completely saturated with 'Duran Duran/Bowie/A-ha' etc genre, Seona Dancing were so mainstream but maybe the commercial music market of the time already had its big names...not much has changed with mainstream these days in terms of copy cat artists, musicians etc, just the way it works..still I think they were good at it, sounded and looked very in tune with the 80's pop scene and great seeing Gervais in another life, apparently he had managed the brit pop band 'Suede' for a time, he eventually poked fun at himself in 'The Office' with David Brent performing and releasing cheesy pop music, good fun.
