They do come across as buddies, that’s another reason the movie has heart. It’s bloody hilarious in parts and quite tense at other times. We grew up watching Eric’s comedy in Australia 🇦🇺 he’s always been funny 😂 it’s a wonderful story as well.

I remember enjoying Eric in his various characters when I first went to Australia! Also enjoyed the State of Origin games, Blind Date ("You're off to Bali."), and Wallaby with Peter Russel Clark.

It's weird Eric Bana mentioning pathos. Since the advent of 'Derek' and the professional distancing of Gervais and Merchant, I'd assumed Ricky had actually replaced comedy with pathos, rather than using one to complement the other. Interesting fact, Eric Bana is actually of native island descent. Bana is really his middle name. His family surname is Na.

I do think 'Derek' had some hilarious comedy in it, but you're right in that pathos does play a major role, so much so that it can get really cheesy. Still enjoyed it, though, made me cry twice and that means something.

Ricky is so proud of this he says it is his best work.I just watched it he must be mad it was OK good even that is it.6/10 at best. I personaly think Ricky is a 9/10 most of the time love him but not in movies cant think of a movie he is in that comes close to his tv work

Totally disagree. I prefer his movies to his TV work cause he doesn't curse so much and the stories are engaging. This comedy is 10/10, along with Ghost Town, 10/10 for Stardust, 8/10 for Cemetery Junction.

What is the standard of accent (good v bad????) I speak like a West Indian English, die hard. When I talk to a New Yorker, I speak Queens, NY. Neither is better than the other. French has so many accents, and each is its own standard.

+Richard Baker Since 'accent' means 'A distinctive way of pronouncing a language,usually associated with a particular country or area', why would you expect people from other countries to speak with an English accent?
