Basically, this is the core of Elvis's band behind Rick. Have a CD found at a Kansas Truck stop for $3.99 with the entire show. Don't ever let anyone put down Rick Nelson. A great loss to American music.

I loved this song and I believe I have heard Ricky. Nelson sing it in a slower tempo. I always liked him-he had twin sons and a daughter who is an actress-they all have a striking resemblance of their father. My daughter-in-law is related to Ricky Nelson (cousin-distant) Past, of course-3rd cousins-or 4th. I liked Ricky Nelson. Lots of talent in the family.

@@merrileejohnson6031 ricks sons continued the family tradition of number 1 songs, his mom and dad also had one. Rick's wife is Mark Harmon's (NCIS) sister and Pam Dawber (Mork and Mindy) sisterinlaw.

Other than The Jordanaires non of the musicians backing Rick here worked with Elvis. This is the band that was wiped out alongside rick in a plane crash in 1985.
@rapman57912 жыл бұрын
@@tonyclapson6696 you are absolutely correct. None of these guys played with The King
@davebofficial15822 жыл бұрын
lol as others have said, none of the band played with Elvis. The awesome Jordanairs on BVs obviously played with Elvis and Rick in the 50s and 60s

I saw Ricky Nelson in Stockton. California. He was the featured artist in an outside arena at a county fiar. After the show Ricky came down into the audience, shook hands, posed in pictures and signed autographs. I talked briefly with him...such a down-to-earth person and a great performer!

Superb talent! I am from Malaysia and a huge ELVIS fan. My wife and I went to visit Graceland in 1984 and we also visited Elvis' birthplace in Tupelo, Mississippi. That's where we met Ricky Nelson and also Elvis' manager Colonel Tom Parker. We took photos with them both. I've always loved Ricky Nelson and we were so upset and sad when his plane crashed in December the following year. May he rest in peace. He was one superb talent! We have a lot of is records and CDs

Ricky was indeed a one of a kind, it's so sad he left the earth so early, his daughter did a program about him and as a father and he was a really good guy but according to her he started to change after he bought the once home of the Hollywood actor Erroll Flynn, she talks about the house having an eerie and dark presence about it which seemed to have an effect on him and he started to change in certain ways including having parties with questionable guests and hanging out with a bad crowd which included the use of alcohol and drugs ect which was something that he never did before and then he got that private plan he used to fly in and she knew something bad was going to happen to him but it's almost as if he was taken over be something unseen and it was that plan he died in. It certainly makes you think doesn't it?
