It's almost impossible to explain to people who've never had money that having money is overrated especially if they have trouble paying their own bills or struggle due to an apparent lack of finances. Having said that, once the initial high of new found wealth wears off you will eventually revert to whatever your baseline of contentment is. It's called hedonistic adaptation. The happiest and most generous people I've ever met were in Cuba and they didn't have a pot to piss in. Mr. William's value doesn't come from wealth and possessions which is diametrically opposed to the "more is better, get money at all cost" sentiment that's pushed so strongly by black culture and the media in our capitalist society. Most people know the cost of everything and the value of nothing. I see many athletes and celebrities make complete fools of themselves and we rationalize that at least "their making money". This interview proves Ricky William's is uniquely different than most people which is much more valuable than having a lot of money. His message is powerful.
