...from what I heard from Master P on Shannon Sharpe's podcast Ricky wanted upfront $ cause he needed it for family & the incentives cause he felt he should earn it and he could meet them. Plus he(Ricky) stated that if No Limit didn't get him the terms he wanted, he would find another agent that would.
@Cyrus-rodn453 жыл бұрын
@@Silkk121382 yep that is exactly what P said
@2Glock30s3 жыл бұрын
A good sports agent would not have let Ricky Williams sign such a shady performance based contract. Master P is a good businessman, but he is no sports agent. The sports world is not the place to not take money that is on the table, and all because you want to show how much you are a good guy. You get as much money as you can, while you can. You can worry about "not earning it" when you are retired and are chilling with millions in the bank. You can bet the New Orleans Saints signed that performance based contract quick. Because if the Saints were having a good season, and if Ricky Williams was about to earn an extra $2 million for rushing over 1,400 yards, you can bet the Saints would not be above cutting down on how many times Ricky Williams got the ball so he could not get that extra $2 million. That would be an easy $2 million saved by the Saints. Especially, if the team was already having a good season. I bet Ricky Williams regrets that contract because he could still be spending money from his first contract if it was done correctly. It is a hard lesson to learn.
