All this time it was simply the punch animations for me that turned me off. But now they got it, and I especially had an issue with the lack of power behind the punches. Now they git them both down, NOW I'd play any day

awesome improvement. I had stopped following this game couple years ago thinking it was a hype job and gameplay was so clunky, but now they seem to improve it a lot, the gameplay looks clean and fluid, lets hope the game gets bigger. but the roster needs more additions, especially major names such as AJ, Mike Tyson, Gervonta Davis and Manny Pacquiao, as well as some other missing legends / top boxers

One thing that’ll make or break the game is whether or not punches will still finish even while getting hit like In real life leading to those crazy exchanges where one guys punches aren’t being blocked by the game’s animation of taking the punch if that makes sense, I see it happening a little and they’re not specifically showing off that mechanic so that’s a good sign. It’ll make for great knockouts and great counters in the middle of combos and fire fights. Like Cody vs TJ one when TJ caught Cody in the middle of the combination, both landing but one landed cleaner. That’ll make the game a lot more fun in my opinion.

Can't remember for sure, so I might be talking out of my ass here, but if I'm not completely mistaken, the word in the Discord was that the career mode where you'd be able to walk around the gym like in an RPG and do all that stuff they were talking about was scrapped a long time ago. I wouldn't get my hopes up for getting something like that any time soon, if ever. Personally I don't mind if we don't get that. I'm pretty happy with what we currently have, but the training mini games would be a welcome addition. I liked how the very first EA MMA from 2010 or so did it. You'd play the mini game and could simulate the best training result for your subsequent training attempts and get the full benefit or you could play the training game normally and roll with it.

This looks soooooo much smoother the punching animations looks great I love that overhand and how when your stamina goes down your punches don’t look so slow and sluggish that was awful now I like that they can still look good but not be impactful so it’s great to see that hopefully their won’t be spamming! The snap behind the punching is looking great as well! Even the head movement is looking good which was one of my biggest concerns I want to be able to play chess and outsmart my opponent. Hope spacing is real too! Great job steel city looks very good so far keep it up

I would also love to see varied stances depending on the fighter, different punches depending on the fighter, Jabs being more useful like having to time them and such, better footwork, lastly better blocking animations.

I want the knockouts or knockdowns to be more loose/ragdoll based as well as faster and then I could see that entire aspect of the game polished. Then they could focus on the roster, customization, online stability, career mode aspects throughout future updates as those are already in the game. Just my opinion 🤝

I was one of the followers of this game as soon as I watched the teaser with Eddie Hall vs whoever it was (and why the hell is Eddie in this besides having like 1 boxing match and being a Brit? lol). I bought it soon after it hit early access but didn't deep dive into it until recently. I've been hooked, yet didn't realize all its shortcomings until watching this video that the devs put out. Needless to say, I'm super hyped for it to drop. Even prior to this update, it has been the best boxing game I've played. I've already put around 30 hours into it and only got into it about a month ago. Loving it so far, so I can't wait.

I honestly can’t play fight night champion anymore because it’s only 30 fps. It looks and feels absolutely terrible on a big screen tv. I’m buying this game mostly because it will be 60 fps, and possibly 120 fps on Xbox series X.

I think it's plenty good as it is, especially considering that this is the first Boxing game in over a decade that is not from EA. As long as the core game is delivered, then i'm happy. But i expect DLC, updates and things to improve considerably in the sequel. When this sales well.
