Are you some kind of wizard? I was recommended this from another video and I can say I gladly found it. Firstly, your channel is underrated, I can't say this enough. The depth and information you provide is one-of-a-kind. You elaborate each point you provide, show a demo in the background, and give your honest opinion without trying to seem bias. I find it hard to believe that Kovaaks or AimLabs haven't approached you, you're such a good coach. Now, I'm not exactly sure if I have confirmation bias - ever since I discovered this guide, my aim has improved drastically. I've been doing the routine in a span of a week, and even on Day 1, I noticed a difference. I can safely say that my Kovaaks aim has translated to Valorant/CSGO. I'm aiming much smoother and I feel like I have better mouse control. Lastly, I can't thank you enough, I have so many hours on FPS/Aim Trainers and I never felt like my aim was improving. I felt like I hit a plateau. Come to find out, I've been doing routines wrong and focusing on reaching High Scores. Once I discovered your guide, I took it that I had to fix everything including my mentality - now I can unintentionally break my past high scores and be consistent at it. Seriously, I really hope you secure a sponsorship, your guides are S+ tier. I'd vouch for you in a heartbeat. Thanks again!

7:02 krascsi compiled some stats on this and found that top static players underflick much more than random diamond players, who overflick a lot. Differences in flick accuracy also exist but this made krascsi conclude that underflicking begets static improvement. I tried to underflick rather than just land on target and it made my highscores go up after a period of stagnancy in static.

@RiddBTW3 жыл бұрын
Definitely agree, I mostly wanted to emphasize NOT doing slow/smooth lines when moving from target to target as proper technique development, I see that advice given out a lot in the aim community. Plus I think if you're focusing on the bardpill technique, you'll develop your clean lines in an adjacent way. But absolutely if you watch your vods and have identified that as a weak point you should spend time on it.

@@RiddBTW Hey Ridd, appreciate the time you take to respond, no I mean its purely forearm, drag on the cloth mousemat, which while centered I have smooth controle but at some points in the turn/angle of my arm starts skipping across the surface, like those flat rocks you throw into a lake, idk how else to explain this, its not hardware related. (I build custom pc's with my eyes closed) Its something missing in my technique that creates too much drag on the mouse mat, tried lifting my arm, raised desk, lowered desk, sit back, sit forward, 100% neutral position etc and my aim will start skipping across the screen when it happens, cuzz my arm will be skipping instead of going smoothly.
@RiddBTW3 жыл бұрын
@@Sakura_Yuki_NC hm it really sounds like you're overthinking it, which is difficult for a lot of people to avoid. I would prioritize doing difficult smoothness (small bot) tracking, like Pure Glider, and force yourself to stay on-target as much as possible no matter how 'shaky' you might be. Also doing reactive tracking scens, because both of those scen types prioritize microadjustment techniques that you learn with your hand to move back to target when you're off. It's hard to explain but it's this little 'wiggle' you develop to stay on target when you inevitably miss

According to the text, the proper technique for static dot clicking consists of two main parts: Fast flick between targets Slower micro-adjustment to cover the remaining distance This technique is best summarized by Bardos, who is described as arguably the best static aimer. The method, often referred to as the "Bard Pill," involves the following key points: Start slow to develop the right habits, then build up speed over time 1 . Flick fast between targets, then micro-adjust slowly for precision 1 . Reset the scenario if you miss within the first 10 seconds or after 4 misses total 1 . The text emphasizes the importance of holding yourself accountable to resetting when you miss, as it creates a reward system in your brain for prioritizing accuracy 1 . The goal is to maintain accuracy while increasing speed over time. It's also noted that you should aim to land on the target when you flick, rather than intentionally trying to over or underflick 1 . The fast flick plus micro-adjust method works well because it invites opportunities to create errors and learn from them, leading to improvement over time 1 . Lastly, the text advises against slowly tracing between targets, as it's considered inefficient compared to the fast flick and micro-adjust technique 1 .

Imma need that target switching video ASAP.
@RiddBTW3 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking moving (dynamic) dots next, then tswitch, then tracking. Reactive tracking is the hardest technique and the other techniques "build" up to doing reactive properly, so I think that would be the proper order to learn the foundations.

Really informative video! I've been aim training in Aim Lab for around 4 months and tried to figure out how to improve by myself; I trained in both low sens and high sens. Nonetheless, I hit a plateau in platinum (aimlab x kovaaks) for a month. After listening to this video, I was able to break my highscore in 1wall6targets extra small(800 to 950) in just 2 sessions of speed target switching and following the bard-pill method (fast flicks+microcorrect; I micro-corrected slowly at the start to have a feel and slowly increased the speed of microflick+tempo). In summary: What I did was: 1) fast flick 2) slowly micro-correct to build up technique 3) increase tempo For warmup, I change(+/-) the fov and sens depending on how I feel and finally try for highscore on 103 fov and main comfortable sensitivity (0.4 valorant, 800 dpi) Most importantly, I think it's crucial to be flexible with your aim training sessions. For example, instead of doing static aim training for 2 days straight, cycle between dynamic clicking (coupled with reactive or precise tracking, and/or speed or evasive switching) and static clicking for every other day while also taking rest days if you're not feeling to aim train.

i dont think you can really practice quickscoping in kovaaks. only thing i could think of that might work is quick scoping in kovaaks, aim in right before you shoot. but the best practice is just to go in custom game against bots
@RiddBTW3 жыл бұрын
I will say that quickscoping is really clicking at its foundation. So learning proper clicking technique will help you with quickscoping. I do it a lot personally in Apex, and the more I've practiced my static technique the more confident and consistent I've gotten with quickscopes, but it's definitely something you need to practice in game.

I agree with pretty much everything in this video including on switching to a much lower sensitivity for valorant and cs and higher for apex and COD. However for the scenario parts for kovaaks and such the bard pill should only apply to non pokeball scenarios as it would be impossible for newer players to the aim community to complete those scenarios. I think with the pokeball static scenarios you should complete the whole thing and if your score has less than 90% accuracy then you restart the scenario until you do. Still use the same amount of speed with your flicks as before but just focus on the slow micro corrections as stated in your and bardoz’s videos.
@RiddBTW2 жыл бұрын

Hey, I have a question about how to aim. I watched christmasiscancelled's vid about 1w6t, and he said to move smoothly (in a straight line) from one target to another. On the other hand, your video (and bardOZ) said to quickly flick and take time microadjusting. So, how should I aim? Thanks!
@RiddBTW2 жыл бұрын
Quick but controlled flick is the right movement but always experiment and do what is interesting and fun for you.

The point of training clicking scenarios is to develop your technique, so why would you play with a lower sens with which mouse control and technique is less important
@RiddBTW3 жыл бұрын
That's exactly what I point out in the vid, maybe not detailed enough, that if you want to get high scores on the leaderboards (remember, some people just like to grind benches/leaderboards) you'll want to run a lower sens. It also helps you develop using more of your shoulder/upper arm to aim, which I believe is still important to develop. But yes, if you want to hyperfocus on improving particularly your mouse control, fingertip aim, micromovements, then you should run at a higher sens.
@assassinge50793 жыл бұрын
@@RiddBTW I must have misunderstood then , my bad

Awesome video! Toward the end you said “Avoid going back to confirmed targets after you miss the first time,” but in the beginning, for proper technique, you said “flick fast then correct.” Isn’t “going back to targets” part of the micro correction? Or are you saying “missing” entails missing both the flick and micro correction? Hope I’m making sense...
@RiddBTW3 жыл бұрын
It makes sense but no microadjusting is definitely not going back to a target. If you flick to target, microadjust, miss, start to move onto the next target, THEN go back and try again, that's what I mean by "going back to confirmed targets." Once you start getting more speed, you'll get used to the flick + microadjust being part of your standard process for killing each target, and you'll get into a rhythm where you just automatically start to go to the next target after microadjusting + clicking. If you miss the click, you should generally then just move on.

If I'm static grinding for improvement I'll usually run a higher sens regardless, but if you're running at a lower sens already in your practice, it gets pretty boring having to constantly change your sens AND fov whenever you hit TS scens but you certainly can if you want. I might be missing out on something.
@RiddBTW3 жыл бұрын
@@sseoen.gssaikone8055 No offense taken. There's a few reasons why I train at higher levels. I have a very aggressive playstyle in the game I play (Apex) and it requires a lot of reactive performance. If I don't push myself in that area regardless of what my benches tell me I'm at, then my aim starts to struggle in those situations in-game. I also think reactive tracking (even tho my routine is for smoothness) lends itself to require you to push yourself outside of your comfort zone to get better at it. That's why a lot of people struggle with it. Basically, I think it's good to be overwhelmed to a certain degree. There needs to be some amount of challenge that seems insurmountable for you to get better and overcome that hump. If it gets to be too much where you're frustrated and discouraged over days and weeks, then it's too much. But I think most people don't push themselves enough.

@RiddBTW3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! A lot of people just grind benches but I personally think you're limiting yourself by just grinding those, depending on the type it gets to a point where you're doing pattern learning and strategies that help you get higher scores but don't necessarily build your overall aim technique. Ultimately it depends on your goals and what motivates you. Some people have a hard time sticking to their training if they don't have some kind of objective, like getting higher scores. So in that case it's better to grind benches so you play consistently.

I think grinding benches only is a huge mistake. I personally found so much value grinding fundamentals and then revisiting benches to see how I've improved. If you are improving in fundamentals, your benches should get better by nature. Eventually the benches become a part of fundamentals anyway (gold and above)
@RiddBTW3 жыл бұрын
@@fifthcylinder i do agree somewhat but I think it's more accurate to say how you train is more important than the scens you train on. Benchmark scens are meant to capture the major aim mechanics and reduce RNG associated with ppl attempting to 'game' scenarios so it's more fair across the board. They definitely aren't built to target individuals' specific context, weaknesses, and areas of improvement. That's where all the different types of Kovaak scens out there come into play. But if you play VoxTS for example and train in a way where you focus on your weaknesses and improving those instead of trying to get high scores, it's still a great scenario to train on.
@fifthcylinder3 жыл бұрын
@@RiddBTW @RiddBTW all very logical. I was mainly commenting on only grinding benches. To me, it's not the complete package, though ofc you can still improve raw skill. I'm more so looking to build on the entire package bc I can simply just get good at one scene, it doesn't necessarily mean I have reactivity or tracking down. Thank you for your great aiming guides, but I'd like to ask a specific question, I've noticed that a big problem that I have with aiming is that once I get near my target, I slow down, and usually shoot just shy of them. Resulting in me consistently grazing their necks/ear. Is this a problem with my wrist tensing up? any other ideas on what this could be and how to break the habit?
@RiddBTW3 жыл бұрын
It's tough to say without a vod, but on the surface it's unlikely a physical problem, and more likely an issue with technique. Depending on the circumstance (ts, static, track) you always want to prioritize landing on the target and doing some form of correction to re-base onto the target if there's drift. Sounds obvious, I know. But all of the aim mechanics I'll be talking about have some kind of method to re-adjust when your aim is off center, because it's just an inevitable outcome for everyone and something you get better at minimizing over time.

restart 4th miss TOTAL. it seems like overkill, i know and it makes it difficult to get through the scenario but it will help you with staying precise and accurate as you build up your speed

I aim purely with my wrist (and of course i'll still use my arm when I have to go beyond 180), I have aimed liked this ever since 2010. Is it worth re-learning everything and switching to arm + wrist aiming? Context: I did stop playing FPS games around 2014, only played again this year with Valorant. I am just a bronze scrub 😅
@RiddBTW3 жыл бұрын
Plenty of players have been successful predominantly using arm or wrist, so it's up to you. But I think there's a lot more flexibility if you invest time working parts of your arm you're less familiar with

@@RiddBTW Yup. Just decreased my sens by 25% today and I definitely have more confidence in my flicks right now. A lot more accurate when I do scenarios. I tried decreasing it by 50%, but that was just too much. That actually felt like it decreased my accuracy. Appreciate the reply, your videos are definitely helping me out a ton :)

A while back you asked for come constructive but negative feedback. I'm about 3 months into aim training and am semi-familiar with the terms, but occasionally in your videos you'll drop some abbreviations that I had trouble with as I wasn't familiar in this context. Specifically, it sounded like you're calling a specific scenario type a "sens"? or a "senz"? I could not find it in the linked glossary. For some of the more specific stuff it might be good to define a little bit of the jargon up front as it seems like there's some terms that might overlap with more familiar abbreviations.
@bigsmallgiant37513 жыл бұрын
Positive constructive feedback: your videos convinced me to try Kovaak's and start Voltaic benchmarking. I got my first two bronze scores today. Your thorough thoughtful approach helped connect a lot of the pieces and find tons of resources. Cheers!
@RiddBTW3 жыл бұрын
That's fair, I worry about that a lot, like how to reach a larger audience but not alienate people on either end. It's unfortunate that I use the term 'scens' which is short for scenario and 'sens' which is short for sensitivity....and they both sound the same >_
@bigsmallgiant37513 жыл бұрын
@@RiddBTW I wouldn't be too worried about it, but maybe while you're in the editing phase you could toss up a few glossary terms on screen occasionally. I don't think it's worth spending too much time on - just something to be mindful of. Appreciate the reply!

I like how the idea of working on speed, then focusing on precision is credited to newer faces in aim training, yet aimer7 from the get go suggested that you should play 1w6t scens at 85% acc, and then maintain the amount of clicks until 95% acc, then repeat. Shame he's so hateable because hes always known the most about aim training for in-game inprovement
@RiddBTW2 жыл бұрын
aimer7 has objectively a lot of aim knowledge, particularly the strafe aim guide. imo he's vilified for having degen opinions (unrelated to aim/fps games) and things like selling routines. aim community is also constantly evolving so depending on when you get introduced you might not even know who bardoz is, like how few know about zeeq and sdk anymore.
@WillTheSheep2 жыл бұрын
@@RiddBTW ye he can be very polarizing. I think people unfortunately take it as an excuse to stop listening to his aim advice. for e.g he isn't a big fan of 1by1 training, and I would probably have to agree as you don't spend enough time on a scenario to really push your mouse control for that environment for an improvement. I'm also interested to see what elements of aim training you think have evolved? for me there's not much that can change, you shoot bots that mimic in game scenario to train mouse control for that action. maybe better scenarios, but the core concepts should be identical through time.

@@Neuroszima Any semi-auto gun (including burst) are clicking focused. Of course, some clicking guns benefit from tracking practice, like a wingman in Apex comes to mind, if it requires multi clicks in a mid/close-range fight against a reactive target
