In America the free speech laws say you can say whatever you want except threatening or inciting violence against others. In Canada the free speech laws are such that the party in power gets to decide who gets arrested. The Trudeau government will arrest people for refusing to aknowdge someones pronouns but will let others go for threatening violence as long as they don't threaten violence against the government in power.
