I can’t even imagine the amount of maintenance this awesome railroad requires.

Definitely more landscaped than most 7.5" gauge railroads, at least in the U. S. Gives real meaning to the term "garden railway".

Those of you who hit the dislike button if you don’t like trains don’t bother looking at the video then you don’t have to hit the dislike button. It’s offensive to the man or the person who made this video a beautiful video a very nice one and he is she does not need criticism for something they put a lot of work into.

We have two of these open to the public in Tampa FL. The railroad club built their lines in city parks. The public can go for a ride on certain weekends.

What a great return on your investment! I’d bring my Mrs. for a ride, but we wouldn’t get very far very fast ……. cause she’d be asking you to stop at every flower or plant so she could ask what it was …… well done, I tip my hat to you 🙂

At 5:43, does anyone know what all the machinery is for? Looks like a vertical steam boiler for a donkey engine, with 2 recip steam engines, and at least 3 lines & redirects.

And electric locomotives are powered by electricity from the rails? How many volts is the motor?
@lionelmpc4 жыл бұрын
The speeder I'm riding on is battery powered, using a 24 volt system. The blue locomotive is gas hydraulic. There is no power in the rails. Being outdoors it's not really feasible to use track power.

This kind of stuff fascinates and confuses me in equal measure.I love the idea and the challenge of making it,like i would an rc aircraft or something,but actually riding it around?Not so sure.Don't get me wrong,i really admire all the work that must go into something like this,but the 'anoraks',as we call them in the UK,that would flock to ride on it, telling you how big their layout is and what they would do differently,would get on my tits big time
