A very enjoyable trip Nick I've been thinking along the same lines myself, I really should combine motorcycling with hiking so thanks for the inspiration! Motorcycling and being out in the elements is a far cry from being isolated in a tin box but we still (or at least I) don't quite get that feeling of being in nature at a slow pace, absorbing the essence of the countryside. By the way, you have amazing countryside where you live, love it.

An enjoyable trip Nick. Motorcycling alone is one of my delights too but I also derive pleasure from the people I meet through our hobby, for me an essential component of good mental health. Thanks for sharing your beautiful countryside.

I'm not a total misanthropist Jonathan, and quite enjoy encounters with others I meet. But I'm happy on my own and the places I like to go are generally rather unpopulated. I do find rallies a bit too 'busy' for me, except for brief drop-ins.

I wouldn't think you a misanthropist Nick when you share so many of your wonderful travels with us. I didn't have in mind the big events so much as healing derived from a psychotherapeutic group of eight or ten friends.

@@jonathanjones9790 Understood. I was lucky enough to work i n the woods and fields with a small group of friends for much of the past few decades. We were our own psychotherapy group - although I suspect the environment helped. I can see meeting a few Panther folks in the UK would be a treat - especially you.

You are a kindred spirit, Mr. Adams - Moto Guzzi motorcycles, riding, and walking in the woods. That pretty well sums up my occupation since retirement a few years ago. Love seeing your videos and hearing your thoughts. I love the sound of a V-twin motor, the rush of the wind, the freedom of rapid motion around the next turn, over the next hill, to the next beautiful natural oasis. I also love the quiet of a forest, the smell of the biosphere, the lone connection with the universe. I frequently put a lightweight camping chair, and a book in my rucksack. Walk to a secluded and beautiful spot next to a stream, and sit and read for a few hours.

I k now a Psychiatrist and he definitely parks his Harley outside the office. In fact usually outside the room where I'm seeing a patient. Bleddy noisy thing it is too.

Nick, do you folks have deer ticks/ Lyme disease to worry about up there? Down here in the mountains of central Pennsylvania they are a big problem. Many of my friends who spend time in the woods have been infected. It has kind scared me out of the woods. BTW, I really enjoy your videos. The rural bit of Canada that you explore are amazingly beautiful. Thank you for sharing this with us.
@nick949eldo2 жыл бұрын
Yes Tim. Plenty of Lyme disease carrying tics here too. Strip, inspect, shower after every hike. No need for fear - just caution. Thanks.

Hello Nick. Good to see another one of your travels. This is part of one of my favourite rides. I call it the “Desert Lake ride”, featuring all of County Road 19. My bike is also not ideally suited to such rough and tightly winding roads. (You saw it recently when we met at the Esso station in Westport. The white and black Harley that shakes when it starts.) Although I do allot of riding, I rarely do high mileage days. I don’t do much hiking, but I do combine my rides with photography walks. I always come home with 100 to 200 photo’s with which I remember the trip. This weekend I’m heading down to Peterborough to ride around Rice lake, and some the rolling hills and farm country south east of there. It reminds me of the Summers that I used to spend on my grandparents farm when I was very young. Thanks for taking us along on another of your adventures.

Hi Irvin. Lovely Harley, that. It's the taking time to relax and enjoy the world that's at the heart of my message. You're clearly doing that. Have a great ride. Nice country around Rice Lake. Stay well.

Thanks for the new video Nick. Deb and I have been enjoying some hiking as well here in WV. I have found that ticks seem worse these last few years so we take precautions for that. In any event Deb just ordered your new book for us to enjoy. Thanks, looking forward to reading it . Cheers TT
@nick949eldo2 жыл бұрын
Thank TT, and many thanks to Deb. I hope you both enjoy it. Ticks are here too, but I find a quick shower or bath and a full body check after are good precautions. Stay well.

Again, what type of tires do you have on this bike? Are they dirt/gravel/street type? Like a 60/40 tire?
@nick949eldo2 жыл бұрын
Nope. Just regular cruiser road tires. These ones are Shinko 230 Tour Master.

Hello Nick, My husband would like to buy the audiobook about your coast to coast ride across Canada when it is released. Could you let me know when it's available please. Many thanks, Avis

I will be starting the audio recording on Monday, but it will be a week or two before it is ready. It's a lengthy process. But will do...and thank you very much for your interest.
